GB News host Andrew Pierce has hit out at Olly Alexander for his "rent boy" performance at Eurovision.

Speaking about the Years and Years singer's act, Andrew said that he was "embarrassed" by it.

The United Kingdom was the only country not to receive a single point from the public vote in an embarrassing turn of events for the 33-year-old.

His song Dizzy did manage to bag 46 points from the participating countries' juries, however, landing him at 18th on the leaderboard.

On GB News, Andrew said: "The Eurovision, according to figures out this morning, had its most disastrous night because viewing figures are down by 2.5 million."

Speaking to Daily Mail columnist Sarah Vine, Andrew added: "That is because it was awful."

Vine added that even though "it was awful", the viewing figures could have been related to a "boycott" that came about as people took a stand against Israel's participation amid the ongoing conflict in Gaza.

She said: "The BBC had a drag queen on telling everyone that she was boycotting it.

"Someone called Crystal came onto Newsnight to say that she was boycotting her north London party because of Israel. So maybe that's the that's why the figures are down."

Andrew added: "They cancelled some Eurovision parties in gay bars in Soho as well."

Talking about Alexander's performance Andrew said: "He's performing in a codpiece. Gay sex in a public lavatory?

"Is this song doing so badly because he appears to be glorifying what used to be known as cottages, where men used to go to seek homosexual sex before it was legal?

Sarah Vine also asked, "Why were they all dressed as rent boys anyway?"

Andrew admitted that he found the whole thing "revolting" and "embarrassing".

In the end, it was Switzerland who were crowned this year's Eurovision winners after seeing off Croatia in a tense head-to-head.

Croatia's Baby Lasagne finished with a joint score of 547 following the jury and public vote while Switzerland's Nemo earned an impressive 591 points.

Elsewhere, Israel was one of the big winners when it came to the public vote as Eden Golan earned an impressive 323 votes just from voters at home.

The score wasn't enough to put Israel in touching distance of the trophy but did rocket them up the leaderboard as boos rang out around the arena amid ongoing protests.
