The Strictly Come Dancing star was first diagnosed with breast cancer in May
Amy Dowden has bravely and openly shared updates from her ongoing battle with breast cancer with her fans.
The dancer, who's now undergone two rounds of chemotherapy, was diagnosed with the disease in May before doctors found "another type of cancer" a few weeks later.
However, following the first round of chemotherapy, Dowden revealed she'd contracted sepsis.
Sepsis, according to the NHS, is "a life-threatening reaction to an infection" which occurs "when your immune system overreacts to an infection and starts to damage your body's own tissues and organs".
Following her first round of chemo, Dowden recalled how her temperature went up to 37.7 degrees.
"At the time, I didn’t realise that having a temperature of 37.5 or above could be fatal for a chemo patient," she told HELLO!

After her parents took her home, Dowden's symptoms began to worsen and after her mum and dad contacted the doctors, she was urged to go to the hospital.
Dowden admitted she was reluctant at first due to the prospect of being around other patients in her state.
After Dowden's state stabilised, she received treatment for sepsis in the ICU.
Luckily, doctors managed to get Dowden back on the road to recovery and the doctors "couldn't believe" how fast she was back on the mend.
Dowden told the publication she got "very unlucky" due to her immune system being weakened due to her Crohn's disease.
She has since returned home and took to Instagram to share the news of her latest health scare with her followers.
Dowden penned: "I recently suffered a setback in my cancer treatment and spent several days in hospital and needing care by an ICU team.
"Click the link in bio as I talk about the scary ordeal and meet those who saved my life," she added before including the hashtags: "#raisingawareness #gratefulforthenhs #myjourney #breastcanceryoung #chemotherapy."
It didn't take long for fans to rush and send their well wishes to Dowden with one fan saying: "You're a really brave woman Amy.
"My wife is currently undergoing cancer treatment too (second time around) so we know what it's like. Hope Ben is OK and getting lots of support too

A second follower added: "You’re doing great Amy, and Charlotte’s wigs are incredible too!
"You’re in the best hands when in treatment, come out the other side of it myself, you can do it."
While a third weighed in: "Lots of love. Chemo and its treatment is scary and tough and often has lots of complications sadly.
"Really glad you got in hospital in time. Really shows how important not leaving a temperature is on chemo as can be really serious. Hope round 2 wasn't as bad. Lots of love."
