The Yorkshire Shepherdess is back on screens with a new farming series

Amanda Owen has made a sad admission in the latest episode of Our Farm Next Door, which saw the Owen clan pull together to help with lambing season.

The former Our Yorkshire Farm star, 50, found fame alongside her nine children and husband Clive Owen, 69, with the series which followed their lives on Ravenseat Farm, one of the most remote areas in England.

However, following the couple's split, the Channel 5 series had to come to an end. Thankfully, the two are back on screens with Our Farm Next Door.

The More4 series follows the family as they embark on a new project that sees them restoring a run-down farmhouse together.

The parents have a clear aim in mind with their project: to build a new legacy for their children.

Speaking on the latest episode which aired on Monday, the Yorkshire Shepherdess explained the difficulties that lambing season can bring.

"I lost a lamb the other day, and I blame myself," she admitted.

The mother-of-nine continued: "Maybe if I had been... You know, sort of seen to her a little bit sooner, that wouldn't have happened."

"It's quite draining," she reflected, adding: "People expect you to say lambing time is your favourite time of year.

"It wears you out and it wears you down sometimes too."

Turning her attention to her helpful family though, she continued: "The good news is I have little willing helpers so they're all a part of it."

The former couple made a recent appearance on ITV's Lorraine, where they also detailed what lambing season is like.

However, Amanda couldn't help but make a cheeky dig at her ex as they talked about his recent hip replacement surgery on the show too.

"A shepherd's year begins in autumn because of course it's breeding season," she explained before taking a jokey swipe at Clive as she turned to him and added: "Not for you it ain't," reports Yahoo News.

The two co-parent their children: Raven, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clementine and Nancy.

The pair have been candid about their relationship breakdown and how they have managed to reach a place where they can now work together and continue to raise their family.

In another interview on the same show from earlier this month, Amanda reflected: "You know, you don't always get the happy ending that you want and things go wrong but that's life, isn't it?"

She went on to candidly admit: "We've got a lot of room and we've got a lot of distractions, there's just so much going on.

"I mean first and foremost, we're farming trying to keep everything going and in a way, it's another diversification, we have fingers in so many different pies that it's just unbelievable."

The two had been married for 22 years when they announced in 2022 they'd split.
