The Britain's Got Talent judge is fronting an all-new documentary series set to air next month

Amanda Holden, 52, is joining forces with historian Dan Jones, 42, to present Sex: A Bonkers History for Sky.

The documentary takes a look at historical approaches to sex from different cultures across several centuries with Jones and Holden providing the facts.

However, the duo will also take part in certain elements of the dramatisation of certain eras, bringing the information to life on-screen.

And in one particular scene from the five-part series, Holden is shown in character as Cleopatra before slipping off a gown and stepping into a bathtub completely nude.

The first-look of the new series was obtained by The Sun and shows Holden looking seductively in the camera while she keeps her naked body hidden in the tub.

The series begins by exploring the beginnings of the first contraceptive in ancient Egypt before making its way to swinging in 1970’s Britain.

The duo also touch upon the Tudors' approaches to sex and its impact on sexual attitudes today.

In a statement shared by Holden [via Deadline] at the time the series was announced, she said: "Believe me when I say our generation knows nothing about sex compared to the debauched antics of our ancestors.

"My goodness, I’ve really had my eyes opened, and had a real laugh, during the filming of this brilliant new series.”

Holden also took to Instagram back in July to share professional snaps alongside Jones to promote the series.

She penned: "I left the brilliant @d_a_n_jones to get his hands dirty whilst I’ve been on the side-lines as a very entertained voyeur.

"Although perhaps shocking at times, #SexABonkersHistory is a truly fascinating & intellectual insight into our sexual history of the last 2500 years.

"This is horrible histories for grown-ups," she signed off.

The BGT judge's decision to bare all on-camera comes following a recent social media insult from controversial influencer, Andrew Tate.

After Holden showed off her toned physique and ageless looks in a bikini snap from her latest holiday, Tate took to Twitter to ridicule the star.

He penned: "You are a wife and a mother and you’re far past a teenager. There is no need for this post.”

Tate's comment has been slammed as "mum-shaming" and "body-shaming" with several fans and famous faces jumping to the 52-year-old's defence.
