Amanda Holden has reportedly been supported by Britain’s Got Talent colleague and friend Simon Cowell after she was brutally taken down by Sharon Osbourne.
Holden claimed that Osbourne and Louis Walsh were “bitter” after they discussed their previous relationship with Cowell during their Celebrity Big Brother stint.
She told Daily Mail’s Weekend Magazine: “I hated seeing certain people in a reality show dissing Simon - he's the person who's given them all the chances, given them a lot of money and a lifestyle they probably wouldn't have had.
“It's bitter and pathetic. It was like Cinderella with her two sisters in the background - just stabby, stabby, stabby.”
Since then, Osbourne shared her own statement and branded Holden an “ill-informed sycophantic.”
Now, sources have claimed that Cowell has reached out to Holden to show his support through his fiance Lauren Silverman – as the music mogul does not have a phone himself.
Simon reached out through his girlfriend Lauren Silverman to support Amanda
A source told The Sun on Sunday: “It's one of the first rules of celebrity; you never cross Sharon Osbourne - but Amanda stands by her comments.
“Her phone was inundated with messages of support from loads of well-known names, all sympathising hugely.”
It has also been reported that Holden will be returning to work on Heart Radio Breakfast show on Monday as planned, and will join Cowell for the Britain’s Got Talent press launch on Tuesday.
Osbourne didn’t mince her words when it came to putting Holden straight, as she stated in her lengthy note: “You know nothing about my history in the music industry, my achievements, the artists I have worked with, the shows I have produced, and my global celebrity.

“Unlike you, the brand of Sharon Osbourne is known worldwide. No disrespect to Simon Cowell, but he NEEDED ME for musical credibility on X Factor and I delivered for him and together all of us made a great team.
“It was only after several seasons of X Factor that Simon started to build his music empire and I gave him so much kudos for what he built.
"Never make comments about my lifestyle given to me by Simon Cowell. It’s demeaning to me and my husband and all the achievements I have made in my life as you’re making yourself look like an ill-informed sycophantic. Sincerely, Sharon Osbourne.” (sic)
A spokesperson for Holden told the MailOnline shortly after Osbourne's statement: “Amanda is aware of Sharon’s incredible career but, just like her, Amanda will always defend those close to her.”
