The Britain's Got Talent judge recently concluded filming her travel show alongside Alan Carr

Amanda Holden has been soaking up the sun on her family holiday in Corfu, Greece and giving her 2.3 million Instagram followers updates along the way - however, her most recent one seemed to worry them.

In one of her latest posts, the 53-year-old is seen playing with a stray cat while she and her family have dinner - with one of her daughters being heard in the background asking if they could keep the kitten.

However, whilst many fans were obsessed with the video, some sparked concern for the presenter's health and worried that the furry friend could be carrying diseases.

Commenting under the video, one fan warned: "Oh dear you always get told even by the locals not to touch cats."

"Beware of ringworm. We caught ringworm after befriending some local kittens in Lesbos," another issued as a third said: "Sad to say, pretty sure that kitten is full of worms! Not great to be petting it at a restaurant table!"

Someone else chimed in: "Hello ringworm! One sure thing handling cats aboard."

"Just be careful as the cats or dogs could have any disease as you don't know their history because you are not the owner..." a fifth expressed before a sixth added: "You just do not know what they have and where they have been..." (sic)

Her family holiday comes after her daughter, Lexi, 18, suffered a medical emergency and left the family worried about her health.

The aspiring model was in the midst of her A-levels when she became ill with a bug, and was left with agonising cramps, however, Holden wasn't overly worried to begin with.

However, as her condition worsened, it was shown that Lexi had contracted the rare VTEC strain of E.coli, which is known to be especially aggressive - with the antibiotics which had been prescribed to her stopped working.

The doctor warned she could face coming down with life-threatening sepsis, and in a crisis phone call to Holden, a friend of the family said: "I don’t want to alarm you Amanda, but Lexi’s blood and everything else is through the roof.

"You need to check that her temperature doesn’t rise because she’s in danger of contracting sepsis."

Taking care of her daughter, Holden only managed two hours of sleep per night, making sure she was taking her temperature hourly, and was later urged to take her to the hospital where she was hooked up to an antibiotic drip.

Lexi had been just the 113th person in the country to get formally diagnosed with the rare strain of bacteria - but she is now firmly on the road to recovery.

Despite the scare, Holden has been posting cheeky commentary on her Instagram Stories as the family enjoys the sunshine break.

In one clip she shared the joke: "9 out of 10 husbands agreed that their wives are always right. The 10th hasn't been seen since the study was conducted!" (sic)
