The Britain's Got Talent star is often compared to her 19-year-old daughter

Amanda Holden has revealed that her 19-year-old daughter Lexi finds comparisons to her famous mother "embarrassing" as university peers make comments about the 54-year-old presenter.

"I think they find it a bit embarrassing," Holden admitted as she chatted about her two daughters.

"Lexi said that there are a lot of people at uni who make cheeky comments, which I find very flattering," Holden admitted to The Sun.

The Britain's Got Talent judge also shared that her younger daughter Hollie, 13, has a different reaction.

She continued: "Hollie doesn't really give a damn. But I do have to walk behind her. She doesn't want anyone to know I'm her mother!"

Holden's social media presence reveals her followers are particularly drawn to family content.

Holden's Instagram feed shows clearly that posts featuring her daughters with husband Chris Hughes receive significantly more engagement than other content.

"It's so amazing, isn't it? I post a lot of bikini shots, but any time I share anything with my girls, that's what goes viral," she noted.

"I need to put them out to work we need to get some sort of hair campaign or something," she joked to the publication.

Recent family photos have been less frequent as Lexi has started university, a transition Holden is finding challenging.

She added: "I'm not gonna lie, I miss her like crazy and it's really weird sitting down to a family meal with just the three of us.

"The house does feel a bit empty, so I'm just gradually filling it up with more pets."

The presenter revealed she recently rescued a dog from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home and plans to adopt another in September, with the family already including a cat and another dog.

Despite the challenges of separation, Holden is proud of Lexi's development and her modelling career with Storm agency.

She went on: "I do miss her but, at the same time, it's really nice seeing her become a little bit more independent.

"We've been strict parents, but I haven't denied her anything.

"When alcohol has been around us as a family, she's sort of been part of it, we've never stopped her.

"I think the more you talk to your daughter about things, the better."

Lexi's maturity has impressed her mother, who noted her daughter's thoughtful approach to university life.

"She's had loads of fun, but hasn't really gone nuts. It's not her thing," the Britain's Got Talent star shared.

"Lexi does like to party but already she's 'over' that big drinking culture side of uni. She keeps saying to me: 'I just want to be useful in the world, Mummy.'

"She's very mature. I don't feel like Hollie is going to be the same person."
