Strictly Come Dancing was rocked this week when Amanda Abbington announced she would be leaving the competition for good after being given a bye in Week Five.
Abbington said the reasons for her exit were "personal" in her statement, just days after Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman said on the live show she was absent on "medical grounds".
Since her departure from the BBC show, the web has been awash with mixed reactions from members of the public.
While a number of Abbington's Strictly co-stars have been vocal in their support of Abbington's decision, her exit announcement was hijacked by trans activists on the Strictly Instagram page following weeks of trolling and "boycott" calls.
Reports of a feud with her pro partner Giovanni Pernice - who penned a sweet tribute to Abbington after her exit - also emerged after she failed to name-check him in her farewell post.
Abbington's fiance Jonathan Goodwin showed his support for his other half earlier this week with a poignant tribute on social media and has now returned to Instagram with some cryptic words of advice.

Taking to his Instagram Stories on Thursday, Goodwin posted a picture of an iceberg with a quote etched in front.
The quote read: "When you see an iceberg, you could be forgiven for not realizing just how much is below the surface.
"The same is true of people," it continued. "Don't be quick to judge a person or situation if you don't know what's below the surface..."
As the post was on his Stories, fans were unable to leave their reactions or message of support for the stuntman.
However, plenty were quick to leave their words of encouragement after Goodwin replied to Abbington's initial exit statement.
He penned: "So unbelievably beautiful but also incredibly brave. I’m so proud to be your man xx." (sic)
Abbington's departure means there are just 10 stars left in the competition following the eliminations of Les Dennis, Nikita Kanda, Jody Cundy, and Eddie Kadi.
Heading into Week Six, the remaining celebrities will be tackling dances like no other as they prepare for Halloween Week.

However, days before the stars take to the dancefloor to perform the spooky-inspired routines, the BBC has been slammed for the "ridiculous" songs and dances given to the celebs for the one-off event.
Elsewhere in the Strictly world, Angela Rippon has been given a huge boost to her Strictly chances thanks to a helping hand in the rehearsal studio.
And Layton Williams - who has already topped the leaderboard several times this series - will have more time to focus on the ballroom after quitting his role on another reality show this week.
