Alison Hammond, 49, has publicly responded to criticism that she merely "ticks the right boxes" when it comes to her presenting gigs.
The presenter regularly fronts ITV's This Morning, is a co-host on Channel 4's The Great British Bake Off, and will soon take over from the late Paul O'Grady on For the Love of Dogs.
She returned to screens this week alongside Bake Off co-host Noel Fielding to welcome a new batch of famous faces to the tent for Stand Up 2 Cancer's charity series.
But following Monday's episode, Hammond found herself on the receiving end of a handful of rather brutal messages.
On the social media platform X, Hammond decided to publicly respond to the criticism, reposting some of the hateful messages online.
In one instance, Hammond shared one irked X user's message which read: "I imagine @AlisonHammond is a real nasty piece of work now, started to believe her own hype #gbbosu2c #SUTC #GBBO."

Hammond urged people to stop sending trolling messages as she wrote alongside the post: "Why is that I’ll be having a lovely day and then someone who doesn’t know (me) from Adam writes such nasty message.
"Don’t @ me, keep your nasty comment to yourself #bekind always."
But despite her plea, another disgruntled viewer also decided to deliver harsh criticism her way.
A second X user replied to the initial poster's message with the response: "No talent but gets loads of work because she ticks the right boxes."

Hammond addressed the "box-ticking" criticism head-on as she replied: "The only box I’m ticking today is block."
After seeing Hammond combat these trolls, fans soon flooded her inbox with messages of support.
"What on earth is the matter with people these days," one fan said. "Why they feel the need to be so rude about a fellow human is utterly beyond me. Sorry you’re faced with it. Well done on shining a light and not tolerating it."
A second added: "I enjoy watching programmes you are hosting Alison and love how down to earth you are from your days on Big Brother to now. There is a reason you get booked and it’s nothing to do with ticking boxes."
