Hollywood icon Al Pacino has clarified his relationship status with Noor Alfallah, 30, following the birth of their son Roman in June 2023.
In a recent interview with People magazine, the 84-year-old stated: "No. I have a friendship," when asked if he was in a relationship.
A spokesperson for the actor further explained: "Al and Noor are very good friends, have been for years, and are co-parents to their son Roman."
This revelation comes as a surprise to many, as the couple had been romantically linked since April 2022, with the star sharing his candid views on marriage in his upcoming memoir - Sonny Boy.
The actor describes it as "an entrance to the pain train", elaborating to People magazine: "Everything's a ticket to the pain train. A ticket or nothing: 'Are you going to go or not?' 'No, I'll stay here. I'll stay here at the station, I'm not getting on'."
Despite never having married, Pacino acknowledges that matrimony can work for some and added: "(Marriage) can suit you, by all means. (But) I just didn't feel it ever suited me for some reason."

Pacino and Alfallah's relationship began unexpectedly, with Alfallah previously telling Vogue about their first encounter in 2010: "I thought, 'Wow, that's Al Pacino'. I went to film school, so I wasn't dumb about who he was."
Their bond deepened during lockdown, leaving the film producer to note: "Al lives down the street from my house and we started spending every day together, playing chess and watching movies. It was like film school with Al Pacino."
Despite their 54-year age gap, the pair grew close, eventually welcoming their son Roman - however, their romantic relationship has now transitioned to a friendship and co-parenting arrangement.
The revelation about their relationship comes after Pacino recently recounted a near-death experience with Covid-19 four years ago.

Speaking to The New York Times, the actor described the moment paramedics rushed to his home when his pulse stopped.
"I didn't have a pulse. In a matter of minutes [the paramedics] were there - the ambulance in front of my house. I had about six paramedics in that living room, and there were two doctors.
"They had these outfits on that looked like they were from outer space or something. I was sitting there in my house, and I was gone. Like that.

"I didn't see the white light or anything. There's nothing there. I'd never thought about it in my life. But you know actors: It sounds good to say I died once."
The experience left a profound impact on Pacino, who reflected: "You're here, you're not. I thought: 'Wow, you don't even have your memories. You have nothing. Strange porridge'."
