Aaron Taylor-Johnson has responded to the judgement he's been on the receiving end of after striking up a romance with his wife, Sam Taylor-Johnson.
The 33-year-old, who's reportedly been lined up to play the next James Bond, has hit headlines this week over the role and as such, the spotlight has been shone on their relationship once again.
The film director, 57, met her now-husband when he was 18 on the set of the John Lennon biopic Nowhere Boy back in 2009.
She was 42 at the time and had already been married to art dealer Jay Jopling from 1997 to 2008 with the pair sharing two children.
The duo struck up a relationship and announced their engagement on the red carpet at the October 2009 premiere of the movie.
They married a little under three years later in June 2012 and have welcomed two daughters of their own - born in 2010 and 2012, respectively.

With Taylor-Johnson now the subject of global scrutiny as to whether he's the right man to play Bond, he's spoken out about facing mixed opinions in the spotlight before.
Referring to being judged, he told Rolling Stone this week: "What you gotta realise is that what most people were doing in their twenties, I was doing when I was 13."
He took aim at the criticism he and his wife received because of their age gap as he continued: "You’re doing something too quickly for someone else? I don’t understand that.
"What speed are you supposed to enjoy life at? It’s bizarre to me."

The duo have both spoken publicly about their age gap previously, telling press soon after their engagement that their respective families were both "supportive" of the relationship.
Speaking in November 2009, the Nowhere Boy director said their families "know how intensely we feel".
Her Kick-Ass star husband went on to say his friends and family had been "really lovely and supportive" after they announced their engagement, according to the Telegraph.
Both public figures have gone on to enjoy successful careers in Hollywood and even collaborated again in the 2018 movie, A Million Little Pieces.

The 33-year-old's CV also boasts roles in Christopher Nolan epic Tenet, the Brad Pitt-led thriller Buller Train, and in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Quicksilver.
Reports he'd been "offered" the role as Daniel Craig's successor in the Bond franchise has sparked fierce debate since they emerged earlier this week.
So much so, Henry Cavill fans were left "in tears" that their favourite actor had appeared to be snubbed while fans of Netflix's The Gentlemen have urged bosses to reconsider and hire Theo James.
It is worth noting no official announcement on who the next James Bond will be has been made by Eon, the company behind the films, and an insider told the BBC there was "no truth" to the rumours of Taylor-Johnson being offered the role.
