Man Utd star who'd love Thomas Tuchel to replace Erik ten Hag to kickstart career
If Thomas Tuchel becomes the new Manchester United player, there will be at least one very happy player in the camp.
Erik ten Hag is battling to save his job with United executives holding a meeting on Tuesday to discuss his future.
It has been a disastrous start to the season for the Red Devils, who find themselves 14th in the table with eight points - their worst-ever start to a Premier League campaign.
While there is every chance Ten Hag could stave off the sack, one option that is potentially waiting in the wings is Tuchel

The German has a fine CV, having led Chelsea to Champions League glory in 2021 against the odds, and could walk straight into the job as he is currently without a position.
One player that knows him well is Mason Mount, whose United career has been a mess so far.
Mount signed for United in the summer of 2023 but ultimately missed most of the season through injury.
This year has started off in the same way, coming on for a short time against Tottenham after a return to fitness only to trudge off injured again.
While this might not the England international's fault, this was not what United or he had in mind when he made the £60million switch from Chelsea.

It is tough to level Mount's woes on Ten Hag's door but Tuchel is a manager that knows the midfielder extremely well and might know how best to deal with his condition.
The 25-year-old was a crucial part of Chelsea's side when Tuchel was in charge, winning the Champions League together with Mount providing the match-winning assist for Kai Havertz in the final against Manchester City.
In 18 months together, Mount played 87 times for Chelsea and was named the club's player of the year - racking up double figures in goals and assists in the Premier League in 2021/22.
The last player to do so for the Blues was Eden Hazard in his final year at the club in 2018/19.
In fact, it was Mount's extreme durability that helped him become such an integral part of the Chelsea squad and he has already told United fans what they might be able to expect if Tuchel joins.

He said while at Chelsea: "We had a meeting where he [Tuchel] put down everything that he wants us to do, how he wants us to play, how he likes to manage.
"He told us everything and then we went out and trained and we had a game the next day.
"So it was a crazy kind of turnaround but he was so clear on what he wanted and how he would like us to play, very clear on the roles and responsibilities, that it made it very easy for us to transition.

"From day one, as players we realised how he gives his game plan. It made it easy for us to go onto the pitch and do it.
"As a team we are players who react off that and adapt very quickly. It made it easy and we want to play in these big games and win trophies.
"That has always been our goal and since he has come in, he has pushed us and we have definitely had the opportunity to win big games and play in finals."
