Prince William 'ignoring Prince Harry's desperate attempts to contact him upsetting to witness'

An extract of the book covering the day Queen Elizabeth II died has been published ahead of the book's release.

Scobie claims that Prince William ignored Prince Harry's text message regarding arranging travel to Scotland.

A source close to the Sussex said regarding Harry's treatment on September 8 2022: "It was upsetting to witness."

They added: "[Harry] was completely by himself on this."

Another royal source said: "William ignored him."

"He clearly didn’t want to see his brother."

Scobie claims that Prince Harry boarded a plane to Scotland not knowing if the Queen was still alive.

The Royal Family were unable to reach the Duke of Sussex during his 70-minute flight despite many attempts and decided to announce the Queen's death before telling Harry privately.

The extract claims that when Prince Harry landed in Scotland he received a text from Meghan urging him to call her as soon as possible followed by a breaking news notification from the BBC announcing the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

The book also claims that Prince Harry was told not to bring his wife with him to Scotland.

The extract says Charles told his son it was "protocol" and that Kate would also not be there.

A former Palace aide said: "They just didn't want Meghan there.

While a friend of the Duchess of Sussex said Meghan "could sense she was not wanted".
