Prince William does not want to “publicly complain” about the Netflix series The Crown despite the series containing attacks on his family.
A new biography about King Charles III by Robert Hardman reveals that the Prince of Wales “rolls his eyes” when the Netflix series is mentioned.
Hardman said: “The Prince knows about it. He rolls his eyes when people say that ‘it’s just drama.’
“He knows what they [Netflix] are doing. Yet he will not give it any greater publicity by complaining. He doesn’t like the idea of being seen as a complainer all the time.”

Royal aides told Hardman that William and Kate often take recommendations from colleagues on what TV shows to watch.
The source said that the prince is more into “action flicks” than period dramas.
The most recent season of The Crown depicted the death of William’s mother, Diana, and the love story between himself and his wife, Kate.
In the new series, Dodi Fayed's father claims that Princess Diana was pregnant at the time of her accident and that the crash was part of a plot to stop Diana from marrying his son.
The Crown's final season depicts the story of how Kate and William met.

A royal insider claimed that the allegations could “likely enrage” William who has been “upset by many Crown storylines that have featured his mother.”
The source told The Sun: “Hearing the claims about his mother’s pregnancy and the plot will feel like salt in the wound, particularly as so many of them have been debunked over the years.”
In a previous series of The Crown, Martin Bashir’s 1995 Panorama interview with Diana was depicted, which is a sensitive subject to the prince.
In 2021, Prince William released a scathing statement about the paramount interview stating that the BBC interview “should never be aired again.”

William said: “It is my view that the deceitful way the interview was obtained substantially influenced what my mother said.
“The interview was a major contribution to making my parents’ relationship worse and has since hurt countless others.”
The prince continued: “It is my firm view that this Panorama programme holds no legitimacy and should never be aired again.
“It effectively established a false narrative which, for over a quarter of a century, has been commercialised by the BBC and others.”
William spoke out after the BBC released a report which determined that Princess Diana’s 1995 Panorama interview was obtained using “deception.”
