GB News was previously told that allegations about Meghan's attitude to her staff were 'fabrications'

Meghan Markle has been accused of making members of staff "feel like s**t" with her "very bad, even psycho moments".

A former aide who worked for Meghan and Prince Harry at the palace claimed they "witnessed people being chewed up in person and over the phone".

However, they added that it was an "incredibly fraught time" and Meghan was feeling suicidal at the time.

The source also highlighted a piece of public record from 2018, when Jason Knauf, who was press secretary to Meghan while she was a royal, had complained about her.

"There have been plenty of difficult royals over the years, and I do think that after the ill-feeling of Megxit, Meghan’s bad moments were amplified and distorted and blown out of proportion," the former staffer told the Daily Beast.

"Princess Margaret regularly got people to hold out their hands to use as ashtrays, for example, and that’s just laughed off as hilarious eccentricity. Look at Andrew, he was unbelievable to the staff.

"That said, there definitely were bad, very bad, even psycho moments. I witnessed people being chewed up in person and over the phone and made to feel like s**t.

"But it was an incredibly fraught time and I’m inclined to give her the benefit of the doubt. She has said herself she was suicidal at times."

Another person who worked with Meghan in the run-up to her wedding claimed the Duchess "was a classic narcissist".

A separate source shared a story about a florist who was subjected to a half-hour of yelling over the phone after sharing a minor detail online about a bouquet they were arranging for Meghan, even though they hadn't revealed her identity as the client.

"They vowed never to work with her again, despite the prestige of having her as a client. If you were working for her, you were often treated like a tradesman who could be treated like s**t," the source alleged.

The fresh claims come after GB News was exclusively told that allegations about Meghan's attitude to her staff were "fabrications".

A damning report published by The Hollywood Reporter had labelled Meghan "Duchess Difficult" and alleged "everyone's terrified" of her as scathing claims about working conditions under the Sussexes came to light.

However, GB News was handed an absolute denial of the allegations - as well as Meghan's message to her employees - and has confirmed with several current staffers that the "Duchess Difficult" moniker has never been used.

One Archewell source, who asked not to be named, said: "These quotes were fabricated by someone lacking knowledge of our company.

"The duke and duchess work from Montecito, and we're based in Hollywood.

"They likely think we're all in the same office and that this quote would fly, but the circumstances don't even allow for it.

"If she's 'marching around' and 'barking orders', no Archewell employee could factually claim that... It's total nonsense."

The rebuttals from insiders follow further criticism of The Hollywood Reporter's article from a friend of the Sussexes.

They told the Mail that "the reporting is ill-informed and very one-sided".

Meghan and Harry’s office said on Wednesday they would not comment on the new criticisms of Meghan, according to The Daily Beast.
