Princess Kate's feelings have been made clear on her scheduled Wimbledon appearance this weekend, according to a source.

The Princess of Wales normally presents the trophies to the men's singles and women's singles winners at the tennis tournament.

Kate has been a patron of the All England Club since 2016 and has watched many matches from the Royal Box at Wimbledon.

However, the princess has only made one public appearance in 2024 at Trooping the Colour last month.

Kate was diagnosed with cancer this year and has stepped back from all royal duties as she focuses on her health.

Wimbledon and Kensington Palace are not expected to provide an update on whether Kate will attend before Saturday.

This is because the royal is awaiting her doctor's advice on whether she is well enough to attend the event amid her preventative chemotherapy treatment.

Kate opened up about her chemotherapy treatment in a statement last month ahead of her appearance at Trooping the Colour.

The princess said: "As anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days.

"On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well."

Despite this Princess Kate has made her feelings clear regarding the potential upcoming appearance, an insider has claimed.

A source told The Daily Beast that the Princess of Wales would "dearly love" to attend Wimbledon at the weekend and present the trophies to the winners.

The Princess of Wales was also joined at Wimbledon by Prince William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte for the compelling men's singles final between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic in 2023.

Kate admitted that the decision to not bring Prince Louis to Wimbledon left the young royal "very upset".

The Princess of Wales said regarding her two eldest children: "It’s Charlotte’s first time, George came last year. They’ve been eagerly watching."
