Princess Kate and Prince William have been urged to follow King Charles's "pushback against tradition" by a royal commentator who spoke exclusively to GB News.
William and Kate do not have a permanent base in Wales, unlike the King who would stay in Llwynywermod estate when he visited as the Prince of Wales.
Llwynywermod estate was purchased for Charles by The Duchy of Cornwall in 2007 for £1.2million.
The three-bedroom property, a former coach house, is set on the grounds of a ruined mansion and overlooks an 18th-century country park including 40 acres of woodland.

After the Duchy of Cornwall was passed to Prince William following his father's Coronation, the King continued to pay rent on Llwynywermod.
Charles eventually decided to give up the property because it was “unlikely” he would be able to use it in the same way as when he was Prince of Wales.
The current Prince of Wales, Prince William, does not have a permanent base in the country, despite living in Anglesey with Princess Kate at the beginning of their marriage.

Gareth Russell, a royal commentator, spoke exclusively to GB News to explain why it is important for William and Kate to have a permanent home in Wales.
He said: “It's very important that the Prince and Princess of Wales have a home in their principality.
“What has been a frequent criticism of Wales's place in the Union for many years is that the titles of Prince and Princess of Wales are used for the heir to the throne, but it doesn't traditionally have many ties to Wales, much less time spent there.
“King Charles did do a lot to push back against that tradition, and it would be a shame and a mistake if William and Catherine were not to continue in the same steps as King Charles.

“They're giving every indicator that they do intend to be much more focused on Wales than maybe historical Princes and Princesses of Wales have been.”
King Charles has remained “passionate” about Wales.
Before taking the throne, the King was regularly seen walking in the area, with he and the Queen described as "active patrons" in the village.
Charles took great pride in Llwynywermod estate, and planted climbers including Albertine roses, jasmine and honeysuckle up the walls.
