The Food Standards Agency shared a warning for the treats as they could contain plastic or metal.

It said: "Unilever is recalling Magnum Almond Ice Cream Sticks, (3x100ml), because of the possible presence of plastic and metal. The possible presence of plastic and metal makes the product unsafe to eat."

Point-of-sale notices will be displayed in stores that carry the affected batches offering more information.

The notice states: "This only affects a limited number of products in the UK and Ireland. No other products or countries are affected. In the UK and Ireland, we are recalling a limited number of Magnum Almost Ice Cream Sticks as a precaution due to the possible presence of plastic and metal.

"Affected Magnum Almond products have one of the following Batch Codes L3338, L3339, L3340, L3341 and L3342 and a Best Before Date of December 2025. This information is printed on the side of the box."

Those who have bought the products can contact Unilver's customer care for more information. This can be reached on 0800 146252 and at ukicare@unilever.com.
