Terms and Conditions for Participation in "The Great British Giveaway" Prize Draw promoted by GB News (“the Prize Draw”)
Prize Draw Terms and Conditions:
By participating in the Prize Draw by making an entry in accordance with the terms below you accept and agree to these terms and conditions.
Eligibility:
The Prize Draw is available to participants who meet the following criteria: (a) residents in the UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man during both the period for which the Prize Draw is open for entry and Prize Draw Fulfilment Period; (b) aged 18 years or older; (c) not employees or immediate family members of the Promoter; and (d) not professionally connected with the Prize Draw.
Please be aware that participants must possess a valid UK mobile phone number and/or address in the UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man to qualify for Prize Draw eligibility. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the age, identity or eligibility of all participants and may withhold any Prize until satisfied with regard to any information requested. If such information is not provided within a reasonable period of time an entry may be invalidated or a Prize forfeited at the discretion of the Promoter.
How to Enter:
The Prize Draw may be entered via Phone, SMS, Online or by Post in accordance with the details provided below.
Opening/Closing Dates & Times:
The Prize Draw commences for entries via SMS, phone, online and post at 4pm on 30th January 2026. Entries via SMS, phone and online close at 4pm on Friday 27th February 2026 (Paid Closing Date ), while entries via post must be received by 4pm on Thursday 5th March 2026 (Postal Closing Date ). Any entries received after the relevant closing date will not be included within the Prize Draw but may still be charged to the mobile phone bill. Accordingly please DO NOT try to enter after the Paid Closing Date. If viewing on-demand services, please check entry dates are still valid.
Winner Selection:
Within one (1) week of the Postal Closing Date, a random draw will determine the winner of the Prize. The first entry drawn at random from all valid and eligible entries, provided the participant meets all terms and conditions, will be awarded the relevant Prize.
How to Enter & Entry Costs:
- SMS Entry: Send an SMS with the keyword WIN to 63225. (GBNEWS, PRIZE and CASH are additional valid keywords). Each chargeable SMS entry costs £2.50 plus one standard network rate message, constituting one (1) Standard Entry.
- Standard SMS Rolling BOGOF Offer By Sending a second SMS entry using the same mobile number you will be given one extra free entry and be eligible for the rolling Buy One Get One Free offer. This means for each further SMS sent using the same number, you will receive two entries for the price of one. This excludes BONUS and BOOST keywords.
- Five Entries for £5: By texting the keyword BONUS to 63225 or 63235, you can purchase the bonus bundle which is five entries for £5. This is a one off SMS charge of £5 + 1 standard network rate message.
- Twelve Entries for £10: By texting the keyword BOOST to 63210, you can purchase the bonus bundle which is twelve entries for £10. This is a one off SMS charge of £10 + 1 standard network rate message.
- Please note that SMS entries without the keyword or misspelled keywords will still be counted and charged if applicable. If you wish to opt out of marketing texts, send STOP to 63225.
- A maximum limit of fourteen (14) paid £2.50 SMS entries, eight (8) paid £5 SMS and four (4) paid £10 SMS per mobile telephone is in place.
- Online Entry: Choose your online entry bundle at gbnews.com/win. Entry bundles start at £2.50. Successful online entries will be charged directly to your mobile phone bill.
- A maximum limit of £120 spend online is in place.
- Phone Entry: By calling 0903 686 3232 your number will automatically be saved and entered into the prize draw and you will be charged £2.50 + network access charge.
- A maximum limit of fourteen (14) paid phone entries is in place.
- Post Entry: Send your name and contact telephone number to GB19, PO BOX 8690, DERBY DE1 9TT.
- A BACS payment for £30,000 in the winners name.
- The prize is a Riviera Travel holiday voucher with a maximum total value of £10,000 (£5,000 per person).
- The prize is valid for two adults only, both aged 18 or over at the time of booking.
- The winner and their guest must not be employees of, related to, or personally connected with anyone working for Riviera Travel or GB News.
- The winner and their guest must be named at the time of booking and names must match valid passports used for travel.
- The prize must be taken by the named winner and one additional guest and cannot be transferred, resold, refunded or exchanged for cash.
- The prize cannot be split across multiple holidays and applies to one Riviera Travel holiday booking only.
- The prize applies to the holiday price only and includes the standard inclusions of a Riviera Travel holiday: flights, transfers, luggage, accommodation, included excursions and the services of a Riviera Tour Manager or Cruise Director, as detailed on the Riviera Travel website in individual itineraries.
- The prize does not include travel insurance, visa or passport fees, optional or enhanced excursions, personal spending money, gratuities or tips (where applicable), or pre- or post-holiday accommodation unless explicitly included in the chosen itinerary.
- If the total cost of the chosen holiday exceeds £10,000, the winner may pay the difference at the time of booking in accordance with standard Riviera Travel payment terms.
- Any top-up or additional payments made by the winner are non-refundable if the holiday is later cancelled.
- The holiday must be chosen and booked within six (6) months of the winner being selected and announced.
- Travel must take place during 2026 or 2027 and is subject to availability at the time of booking.
- The prize does not guarantee availability on specific dates, ships, tours, cabins or room categories.
- The prize cannot be combined with any other Riviera Travel promotional discounts, offers or vouchers, although the winner may choose to upgrade or add optional extras at their own cost.
- All bookings made using the prize are subject to Riviera Travel's standard booking terms and conditions.
- If the winner cancels the holiday after booking, the prize will be forfeited and no replacement prize will be offered.
- If the winner or their guest fails to travel, the prize will be forfeited.
- One complimentary rebooking may be offered at Riviera Travel's discretion if cancellation is due to serious illness or exceptional circumstances.
- The winner must claim the prize within fourteen (14) days of being notified, otherwise the prize may be withdrawn and re-awarded.
- The competition is run in conjunction with GB News.
- GB News is responsible for the competition mechanics and winner selection.
- Riviera Travel is responsible for the provision and delivery of the holiday prize.
- Personal data will be used solely to administer the competition and arrange the prize and will be handled in accordance with UK GDPR legislation.
- Personal data will not be shared beyond Riviera Travel and GB News without consent.

Prizes cannot be changed or transferred. At the Promoter's discretion, any Prize may be withheld or withdrawn in the event of any failure to comply with these terms and conditions, or where the Promoter considers that fraud, dishonesty or any other serious irregularity has arisen in connection with the competition or any Prize.

Winner Notification
The winner may be contacted live on GB News w/c 9th March 2026.
The Promoter will notify the winner and attempt to deliver the Prize to the winner as soon as reasonably possible and within 28 days of the prize draw taking place (Prize Draw Fulfilment Period). If a winner cannot be contacted by the Promoter, does not respond to attempts to contact them or fails to provide information requested from them, within 28 days of first being contacted by the Promoter, then the Promoter may at its discretion forfeit the Prize and a replacement Prize winner will be selected at random from eligible participants as before until a valid winner is found in accordance with these terms and conditions.
Details of the winners of the Prizes may be obtained by writing to the Promoter at the address provided below, provided that any request for such information is made within 28 days of the Prize Draw Fulfilment Period.
Personal Data:
All information and data relating to participants (Personal Data) will be held by the Promoter and may be used by the Promoter and any third parties assisting them in connection with the Prize Draw to contact participants in connection with the Prize Draw, including administering and fulfilling the Prize Draw. Further details of how participants Personal Data may be used can be found in the GB News Privacy Policy and by entering the Prize Draw you agree to the use of your Personal Data under the terms of this policy.
Publicity and Marketing:
By taking part in the Prize Draw participants agree to participate in publicity at the request of the Promoter if they win any of the Prizes. Participants agree that the Promoter may use the surname of the winner and their city/town of residence in promotional and marketing materials and that these details may be included on future marketing information and websites and other material owned or controlled by the Promoter without payment or being contacted in advance by the Promoter in any media on a worldwide basis. If any winner does not wish to have their name used in this way, the winner must notify the Promoter in writing at the time of receiving the relevant Prize but agrees that in any event the Promoter may refer to them by the first letter of their surname and the place in which they reside. Participants agree that similar details may be included on a list of winners on the Promoter’s website.
Limitation of Liability:
Participation in the Prize Draw does not create any commercial relationship between participants and the Promoter. The Promoter does not have any liability to participants in connection with the Prize Draw and shall not be liable to any participants for any liability, loss or damage suffered by any participant however arising and whether in connection with or as a result of their participation in the Prize Draw or otherwise provided that this exclusion of liability shall not apply to any death or personal injury caused by the Promoter to any participant. The Promoter shall not be liable to reimburse or refund any costs or expenses incurred by participants in connection with the Prize Draw. These terms and conditions shall not affect any statutory rights a participant may have as a consumer under any relevant consumer legislation.
The Promoter shall have the right to suspend or cancel the Prize Draw in event of any circumstance or occurrence beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter. This shall include any circumstances arising due to an Act of God, strike, lock-out, labour dispute, natural disaster, adverse weather conditions, riot, terrorist incidence, war, accident, civil commotion, epidemic, medical emergency, fire, flood, breakdown or any legal or regulatory direction, resolution or order or any similar or dissimilar occurrence. In any such circumstances the Promoter shall have no responsibility for any loss or damage suffered by or caused to any participant.
Promoter’s Decision:
In relation to any decision taken by the Promoter in relation to the Prize Draw or the operation of any of these terms and conditions the Promoter’s decision shall be final and binding.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction:
These terms and conditions and the Prize Draw shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales, except for residents of Scotland and Northern Ireland who may, respectively, elect to choose the law and Courts of their place of residence in order to govern these terms and conditions and determine any dispute arising in connection with them.
Prize Promoter and Provider:
GB News LTD is the provider of the cash prize. Riviera Travel is the provider of the holiday.
GB News is the Promoter of the Prize Draw. In order to contact the Promoter correspondence should be sent to GB News Limited, The Point, 37 North Wharf Road, London, United Kingdom, W2 1AF and clearly marked to be a communication in connection with the Prize Draw. The Promoter will endeavour to respond to all such enquiries within a reasonable period of time.
