UK Weather: Windy with rain in south and wintry showers in north
Peter Byrne
An area of rain moving east across Wales, central and southern England Sunday morning, then clearing to showers for many. Wintry showers over north England, Northern Ireland and Scotland even to low levels at times. Windy and blustery for all.
Wintry showers in the north slowly dying out along with gradually easing winds. Cold with frost for many. Becoming cloudier in west later, perhaps with some rain.
Cold but bright start in the east. Cloud in far west spreading across the country with rain developing over west and particularly northwest. Becoming windier and milder.
Rain will affect northwestern areas, spearing further southeast midweek, but becoming light and patchy. Colder conditions with wintry showers following to many regions by Thursday. Windy in the north.
