An Arctic blast is expected to bring “disruptive” snow in just a few days time, the Met Office has warned.
Snow has already hit parts of the UK in 2024, with mercury plummeting to as low as -10.4C in Aviemore, Scotland yesterday.
Wintery conditions will stay for some time as WXCHARTS predict much of the UK will witness snowfall later next week.
The weather map website’s forecast for January 21 shows Scotland, Northern Ireland, much of the North of England and Wales being blanketed by snow.

Experts at the Met Office have also warned about the potential for “disruptive” conditions.
Looking ahead to the period covering January 15 to January 24, the UK’s national weather service said: “Often cloudy across clearing central and southern areas at first.
“Thereafter, turning colder from the North, with brisk northerly winds likely developing widely across of the UK, bringing a risk of snow showers, most frequent across the north.
“Temperatures remaining cold, and a marked wind chill especially in the north.

“There is risk of unsettled weather pushing in from the south through this period, which could lead to a band of snow and sleet where it meets the colder air across the country.
“Confidence is low with regards the timing of the arrival of any such disturbance, but there is an increasing risk of something potentially disruptive at some point in this period.
“Widespread frosts continue to be a feature by night, with a risk of ice in places.”
Britons have only just recovered from Storm Henk.
The storm wreaked havoc across much of the country, with flooding and strong winds bringing danger to life.
The UK continues to deal with adverse conditions days after Storm Henk was abated.
England’s Environment Agency has issued 65 flood warnings and 109 flood alerts.
Natural Resources Wales put out an additional flood alert.
