The Met Office has issued two yellow weather warnings for wind and rain as Storm Nelson is set to provoke havoc across Britain.
A warning for high winds remains in place along the south coast until 11.50pm this evening as gusts of up to 70mph are expected to hit.
Another weather warning has been issued for heavy rain across Northern Ireland until 3am tomorrow.
Storm Nelson is likely to bring heavy rain and coastal gales on Thursday and into Good Friday.
Forecasters say gusts could reach 70mph, while there is also a risk of hail and thunder.
The Met Office said the storm could lead to some "hazardous conditions".
A spokesperson said: "There is a small chance that injuries and danger to life could occur from large waves and beach material being thrown onto sea fronts, coastal roads and properties."
The agency added: "Strong winds and large coastal waves may lead to hazardous conditions."
