Britons in Greece have been warned ahead of possible disruptions that could turn "violent" in the coming days and weeks
Britons in Greece should stay alert when visiting popular areas.
The UK Government has shared a word of warning about potentially dangerous protests or demonstrations.
The FCO confirmed these can take place in places where tourists are likely to visit.
Demonstrations can take place at any time but have traditionally happened on prominent days for the country, including two big dates in the coming weeks.

The FCO states: "Demonstrations may happen at short notice, and have traditionally happened on 1 May, 17 November and 6 December."
Those visiting popular tourist areas, such as Athens, should be wary.
It continued: "Demonstrations take place regularly around major squares in central Athens, in particular Syntagma Square.
"There is currently a heightened risk of demonstrations, particularly in central Athens.
"Nationwide strikes and protests can occur at any time and may disrupt road, air, sea travel and cause delays or diversions at border crossings."
Travel strikes are also something to consider, the body warned.
Those who are in an area where demonstrations are taking place are urged to be careful.
The FCO continues: "There is currently a heightened risk of demonstrations, particularly in central Athens, related to events in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
