Amazon-exclusive model drops to £159 in Prime Day sale, compared to £199 on the Ninja store

Amazon has cooked up a sizzling discount on the Ninja Foodi dual-drawer air fryer in the Prime Day sale, which has plummeted to its lowest ever price. Available in an exclusive copper colourway only sold at Amazon, this popular kitchen gadget is now £20 cheaper than its previous record-low price tag we've seen in Black Friday sales.

This flagship air fryer has two dishwasher-safe drawers with a 4.75-litre capacity — for a total of 9.5-litre. That's big enough to cook a 2kg whole chicken or 1.4kg of fries in each drawer. As such, this Ninja Foodi Max model should be more than enough for larger families to cook an entire meal without switching on an oven.

With temperatures up to 240ºC, Ninja offers a number of cooking modes with its air fryer range. Cooking with this clever kitchen gadget uses 65% less energy than a traditional oven, thanks to the efficiencies of the smaller design and fan

The term "air fryer" is somewhat misleading, as these clever kitchen gadgets aren't only about crisping-up homemade chips with 75% less fat than a traditional deep-fat fryer. Air fryers can do everything you'd do in a fan oven, from baking desserts to cooking entire meals, and with a lot less electricity — with a 65% reduction in your energy bill, according to Ninja research.

As well as different preset heat modes (Max Crisp, Air Fry, Roast, Bake), including temperatures up to 240°C, the Ninja Foodi dual-drawer air fryer also has dedicated buttons to Reheat and Dehydrate meals. Each drawer can be set to a different temperature, with cooking time synchronised to finish at the same time — making it easier to time your cooking.

Research suggests between 30% (Leatherhead Food Research) to 46% (Iceland customer survey) of Britons own an air fryer. If you're missing out on the faster cooking speeds, lower energy bills, then this Ninja Foodi dual-drawer air fryer is a good pick.

Outside of the Prime Day sale, this same model — without the exclusive copper finish — is available at £199 from the Shark Ninja online store and £219.99 from Currys.

If you don't need a model with two drawers, Amazon has also cut the price of Ninja Air Fryer Max Pro — a model with a single 6.2-litre drawer with all of the same heat settings as the Foodi Max model.

It ships in the same copper colourway, which is only available for Amazon shoppers. This refreshed model hasn't been discounted before, making this another record low price.

The price cuts to Ninja's award-winning air fryers are just a small part of the thousands of blockbuster deals included in the Prime Day sale. As always with this annual site-wide sale, you'll need to be a Prime member to be able to access any of these deals. Without Prime membership, you'll be stuck paying the full RRP for items that've been discounted in the sale. You'll also lose out on next-day delivery at no extra cost on thousands of items.

But becoming an Amazon Prime member doesn't have to cost you anything.

That's because the US shopping giant offers a 30-day free trial of its membership scheme. Sign up, then cancel immediately and you'll still be able to enjoy all of the perks of Prime membership for a month.

If you don't cancel, you'll be charged the usual £8.99 per month fee at the end of the free trial period. We've written an in-depth guide on this loyalty scheme to work out "is Amazon Prime worth it in 2024".
