These record discounts will end as soon as soon as the clock strikes midnight

Apple AirPods just dropped to their lowest ever price in Amazon's blockbuster Prime Day sale. Usually £129, these popular Bluetooth 'buds have plummeted to £95 — a saving of £34.

The latest discount has toppled the previous Black Friday sale price of £99. However, you'll need to act fast as the AirPods price crash will only be available until 11.59pm tomorrow (July 17).

And since this is included in the Prime Day sale, you'll need to be an Amazon Prime member, or sign up for a 30-day free trial to be able to access the discount. Without the membership scheme, you'll be forced to pay £122 for the same pair of AirPods— a much less remarkable discount compared to the RRP.

Whether you decide to buy the entry-level AirPods or the all-singing, all-dancing AirPods Pro, you'll be able to pair these Bluetooth 'buds to all of your devices by tapping the "Connect" button on the pop-up that appears when you first flip open the charge case

AirPods are a convenient way to listen to music, podcasts, audiobooks, and make hands-free calls. Using magnets, these wireless 'buds snap into place inside the case, which carries enough charge for 24 hours of listening. When you flip-open the lid, AirPods AirPods will instantly pair with your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

Although the £129 model doesn't offer active noise cancellation, these Bluetooth 'buds do allow hands-free access to voice assistant Siri. Wearing the AirPods, saying "Hey Siri" will summon Apple's chatty AI assistant, who can make calls, reply to incoming text messages, read out calendar appointments, and queue up the next song for you.

Tapping on the side of the earbud will control playback, so there's no need to pull out the iPhone in your pocket or bag. And if you own an Apple Watch, AirPods can pair directly to the wearable — so you'll be able to head out on walks and runs without your iPhone and still listen to your favourite tracks.

If you're looking for something more advanced, Amazon has cut the price of AirPods Pro in the Prime Day sale too — reducing these all-singing, all-dancing wireless earbuds from £229 down to £179.

That's a generous £50 saving — and £10 cheaper than the previous all-time low price of £189.

The second-generation AirPods Pro offer 2x improved noise cancellation compared to the previous model. Apple now includes four different sizes of interchangeable silicone ear tips (XS, S, M, L) bundled in the box to ensure a good seal, something that'll dramatically improve audio performance too.

AirPods Pro are the only model with a small speaker built into the carry case, so you can trigger a noise from the Find My app if you've lost your wireless earbuds down the back of the sofa. The location of each 'bud can also tracked within the Find My app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

The second-generation Apple AirPods Pro offer improved active noise-cancellation, adaptive audio that intelligently moves between Transparency Mode and Noise-Cancellation based on your surroundings, and hands-free access to AI voice assistant, Siri

Powered by the custom-designed H2 system-on-a-chip, Apple AirPods are smart enough to recognise when you're talking — responding to someone who asks for directions, ordering a coffee — or need to listen to a tannoy announcement at a railway station or airport and dim the active noise-cancellation accordingly. Dubbed Adaptive Audio, this clever mode will also increase the level of sound-blocking when it detects an increase in background noise, like the sound of nearby construction as you're walking by.

The latest AirPods price cut is one of thousands of blockbuster deals included in the Prime Day sale. As always with this annual site-wide sale, you'll need to be a Prime member to be able to access any of these deals. Without Prime membership, you'll be stuck paying the full RRP for items that've been discounted in the sale. You'll also lose out on next-day delivery at no extra cost on thousands of items.

But becoming an Amazon Prime member doesn't have to cost you anything.

That's because the US shopping giant offers a 30-day free trial of its membership scheme. Sign up, then cancel immediately and you'll still be able to enjoy all of the perks of Prime membership for a month.

If you don't cancel, you'll be charged the usual £8.99 per month fee at the end of the free trial period. We've written an in-depth guide on this loyalty scheme to work out "is Amazon Prime worth it in 2024".
