The Serb has now won 24 Grand Slam titles following his win at the Arthur Ashe Stadium

Leonardo Di Caprio seemed to anger American actress Sara Gilbert during the final of the US Open on Sunday night.

It was a historic night at the Arthur Ashe Stadium, with Novak Djokovic powering his way past Daniil Medvedev to a 24th Grand Slam title.

Djokovic was able to win 6-3, 7-6, 6-3 at Flushing Meadows to draw level with Margaret Court.

During the match, however, Eurosport showed Di Caprio appearing to anger actress Gilbert by talking throughout the contest.

The Wolf of Wall Street and Inception star seemed to be conversing with somebody off camera.

And Gilbert then turned round and fixed the 48-year-old with a stare, with the 48-year-old visibly annoyed.

Fans reacted to the footage on social media, with one Twitter user saying: "I, for one, will cherish this footage of Sara Gilbert getting p***** at Leonardo DiCaprio for talking at the #USOpen."

Another stated: "Note to Sara Gilbert, don't sit right in front of Leonardo."

A third fan said: "This is truly amazing stuff. Omg."

And a fourth said: "She’s not wrong!! And it seems like he’ll go to the opening of an envelope at this point."

As for the tennis, Djokovic went into the match against Medvedev with a point to prove.

Some had written the 36-year-old off as a faded force following his Wimbledon defeat to Carlos Alcaraz back in July.

Yet Djokovic was able to bounce back by winning the US Open and adding a 24th Grand Slam title to his collection.

The Serb was asked after the match whether he had a target in mind.

But Djokovic surprised everybody by saying he didn't and that he was merely taking each Grand Slam as they come.

“I don’t put any number right now in my mind on how many slams I want to win until the end of my career," he said.

"I don’t really have any number.

“I’ll continue to prioritize them as my most important tournaments and where I want to play the best tennis.

"So that will not change. That will stay the same in the next season or I don’t know how many more seasons I have in my legs. So let’s see.”

Djokovic also ominously said he could play at the Olympics in Los Angeles in 2028 providing he keeps on winning.

“The Olympic gold medal is one of my goals and I hope I will fulfill it before my career ends," he added.

"I have to admit that my thinking goes that way: ‘So, the next Games are in Paris, if I am not done by then, then we go to L.A.'

"It depends on numerous factors – first and foremost, do I feel in my heart and soul that I want to do it, that I am motivated when I wake up because I am a father of two children and sometimes I leave them for more than a month.

"The important thing is that I have the support of my family and close ones.

"For how long I will keep on playing – I don’t know at this moment.”

Medvedev, meanwhile, praised Djokovic and insisted his opponent hadn't changed despite the success he's achieved.

"When we first played I was probably 500th in the world. And he was super kind to me," said Medvedev.

"Nothing special, but he treated me like a normal person. And he still does.

"Nothing changed: 24, 30, 12 Grand Slams? Nothing changes. And I think that's something great about a person you can say."
