Whenever Wimbledon rolls around, Roger Federer is always destined to get a mention.
The Swiss maestro became a legend at Centre Court during his playing days, winning the title eight times in London - more than any other player.
Federer retired from tennis back in 2022 after a glittering career that saw him win a stunning 20 Grand Slam titles.
The 42-year-old secured his first Wimbledon all the way back in 2001, overcoming Aussie Mark Philippoussis in the final with a 7-6, 6-2, 7-6 triumph.

The following year Federer was on song once more, with the Swiss star beating Andy Roddick in four sets to secure a third Grand Slam crown - having won the Australian Open in between.
Federer made it a hat-trick in 2005, again beating Roddick.
He extended that run to four in a row the following year, with a young Rafael Nadal overcome in the final.
In 2007, Nadal pushed Federer all the way.
But the tennis icon was able to hold his own and claim his fifth Wimbledon title, winning 7-6, 4-6, 7-6, 2-6, 6-2.
His run of Wimbledon triumphs came to an end in 2008, with Nadal getting the better of Federer in a match many view as the greatest of all time.
However, despite approaching the twilight years of his career, he was still able to pull off three tournament victories at SW19.
Federer won a record 15th Grand Slam of his career by beating old rival Roddick in 2009, claiming the final set 16-14 after clash that lasted 4 hours and 17 minutes.
He claimed his seventh Wimbledon prize with victory over Andy Murray in 2012.
And Federer's final Wimbledon title came back in 2017, with Marrin Cilic beaten by the tennis icon in straight sets.

Fortunately for those attending the tournament this year, Federer does plan on attending.
He recently revealed his children were pressuring him to make the trip, 12 months after he sat next to Kate Middleton in the Royal Box.
"I'm making plans, kids are pushing me there," he said.
"I’m happy at home but the kids said ‘No we wanna come to Wimbledon this year, you were last year without us!’, so, hey, then we go to Wimbledon."
He added: "Most likely I'll be there, I don’t know if we’re gonna watch any matches but I’ll be in the Wimbledon village, so try to spot me there."

What is Federer up to these days?
Federer is enjoying his retirement, with the Swiss maestro recently saying he loved travelling around the world with his family.
"Retirement is great. It was smooth," he said. "It's been really smooth. Super happy in my life.
"We have four beautiful children. There are twin boys that are 10, twin girls that are 14, and then my wife.

"We’ve just been travelling around the world, having the best time, and obviously helping them with school, and then having projects like this one.
"So, I'm keeping busy with that and it’s been wonderful."
