Novak Djokovic will be hoping to win a record 25th Grand Slam this winter

Laura Robson has vowed to 'find out' exactly what Andy Murray is doing with Novak Djokovic ahead of the Australian Open.

The two tennis titans are set to work together at the first Grand Slam of the year, with Djokovic chasing a 25th Grand Slam title that would move him ahead of Margaret Court in the history books.

Murray working with Djokovic came out of the blue, especially given how the three-time Grand Slam winner hung up his racket just months ago.

It will be fascinating to see whether their partnership pays off this winter, especially given their big personalities.

Robson, speaking to PA, is excited.

She feels Murray will enjoy the experience of working with Djokovic - and has vowed to 'find out' just what the Briton is doing behind the scenes.

"I think he’ll love it,” she said.

“Anything that he’s going to suggest, Novak’s going to be able to do, so that’s the dream student basically.

"I’m sure he’s been getting involved with all the analysis already.

“I don’t think he’s the one booking the practice courts and all the day-to-day activities that a coach has to do, collecting rackets from the stringer.

"I’ll find out because I need to know but all the actual tennis stuff and match stuff he’s going to be great at.”

Many have been left astonished by Djokovic's decision to bring in Murray, despite the pair long being friends.

And Robson has admitted that it's something that 'blows her mind', with the former tennis star adding: “I’ve seen a few others that are team Andy and we’re still obsessed with the fact that he’s on court with him.

“It still blows my mind somehow, and Novak’s playing practice sets and Andy’s there picking up the balls.

"It’s something I never thought I’d see. I’m so intrigued to see how it goes.

“Clearly he’s taking it super seriously, which you always knew he would.

"It’s unbelievable for the tournament and you just have to see how much they’re posting it on socials.

“I’ve seen 12-minute YouTube videos of Novak’s practice because Andy’s in the background.

"I think it’s fantastic for the sport just to see someone with Andy’s tennis brain working with someone who’s still got the capability of Novak and what that can produce.”

Djokovic, with 10 Australian Open titles to his name, has more than any other player in history.

He will face Nishesh Basavareddy in the first round, with that showdown poised to take place on Sunday.

Djokovic's last Australian Open triumph came back in 2023 when he powered his way to a straight sets victory over Stefanos Tsitsipas.
