Andy Murray potentially working with Emma Raducanu has got the green light from Mark Petchey, who thinks the former world No 1 would be able to elevate the game of his fellow Briton.
Murray recently worked with Novak Djokovic at the Australian Open, with the 37-year-old choosing to venture into coaching for the first time since retiring from tennis back in the summer.
Djokovic's pursuit of a record 25th Grand Slam title ultimately ended in failure, with the veteran forced to pull out of his semi-final match with Alexander Zverev on Friday due to injury.
Both the Serb and Murray were coy when asked if they'd be working together again going forward, with neither man giving anything away.

Meanwhile, on Friday, Raducanu and Cavaday confirmed their split.
This is because the tennis coach wants to focus on his health, with Raducanu now poised to start her search for a successor.
Petchey, speaking to Casino.org, has now opened up on the pair.
And the 54-year-old, who has coached both players, believes Murray would be the right man to mentor Raducanu due to the experience he possesses.

“I can definitely see Andy working on the women’s tour one day, 100 per cent," he said.
“I think that’s going to be a natural evolution for him, and I’m sure a lot of the top women on tour will want to tap into his tennis IQ…
“It’s a different style of play, and something that he’s super well acquainted to given how much of it he’s watched.
"He’s always been a champion of gender equality and, if you are one of the top women’s players, you’d be crazy not to pick up the phone and see if he has some availability to work with you.”

The former tennis star continued: “Obviously he’s a bit tied up with Novak now and that will take up his time in the immediate future if they continue their trial after Australia, but, post that, when he has got availability I won’t be surprised to see him teaming up with one of the marquee women’s players.
“Could he coach Emma Raducanu one day? It would be a dream partnership for Brits in terms of his knowledge, the stage of her career and his ability to guide her.
“Tactically he could help her, and also from a drive point of view. We all know that, as a player, Andy never left a stone unturned.
“He has a great energy and work ethic about him, and that could only be a boost to Emma and her game.

"I genuinely believe there’s no bad blood after what happened between them at Wimbledon last year.”
At Wimbledon last year, Raducanu and Murray had been due to play doubles together.
That didn't happen, however, with the 22-year-old forced to pull out of their match due to injury.
Raducanu's decision sparked a big backlash, with many feeling she should have soldiered on in order to let Murray play at Wimbledon for the last time.

Murray's mother, Judy, stoked the flames by saying it was 'astonishing' that Raducanu pulled out.
But there doesn't appear to be any grudges held, with both stars insisting they're fine with each other.
