Antoine Dupont, the star French scrum-half, has made a triumphant return to the national rugby squad after a year-long absence.
The 27-year-old has not represented France since the 2023 Rugby World Cup quarter-final loss to South Africa last October.
During his time away from the XV-a-side game, Dupont achieved Olympic glory, securing a gold medal with the French rugby sevens team at the Paris Olympics.
His comeback marks a significant boost for the French side as they prepare for their upcoming autumn internationals.
Fabien Galthie, France's head coach, has named a 42-man squad for the upcoming autumn internationals, featuring eight uncapped players.
Among the new faces are Tonga-born tighthead Tevita Tatafu, Toulouse second-rower Joshua Brennan, and Bordeaux Begles' loose forwards Marko Gazzotti and Pierre Bochaton.

The 21-year-old Toulouse centre Paul Costes has also received his first call-up to the national squad.
Notable recalls include Toulon back Gabin Villiere and Theo Attissogbe, who impressed during the July internationals in South America.
However, the squad is not without its surprises, as experienced hooker Julien Marchand has been omitted.

France will face a challenging autumn international schedule, with three Tests at the Stade de France in Paris.
The series kicks off on 9 November against Japan, followed by a highly anticipated clash with New Zealand on 16 November.
The final match will see France take on Argentina on 22 November.
These fixtures mark France's return to international rugby following a controversial tour of Argentina in July, which was marred by off-field incidents.
The autumn internationals provide an opportunity for the French side to showcase their strength with the return of key players who were rested during the South American tour.

These injuries may prompt changes in France's tactical approach, with reports suggesting Thomas Ramos could be Galthie's preferred option to partner Dupont in the half-back pairing.
The absence of Ntamack and Marchand opens opportunities for other players to step up and make their mark in the upcoming internationals.
