Reeva Steenkamp's mother, June, has opened up on her decision to forgive Oscar Pistorius.
Pistorius has been released on parole nearly 11 years after he murdered Reeva.
The 37-year-old shot the model four times and, while he was initially charged with manslaughter, his conviction was upgraded to murder in 2015.
While the former Bladerunner star is set to start a new life outside of prison, however, the suffering of Reeva's loved ones remains ongoing.

Her father, Barry, died in September after years of hurt.
He met Pistorius in prison and demanded answers - but the ex-Paralympian always insisted Reeva's death was a tragic accident.
Pistorius always claimed he thought she was an intruder - but that didn't stop a court from later convicting him of murder.
With Barry and Reeva now gone, June Steenkamp's suffering goes on.
And she's told the Daily Mail that she's forgiven Pistorius for her own sake, with her Christian faith helping her cope with the torment.
"My Christianity requires me to forgive," she said.
"I forgave Oscar a long time ago. I forgive for my own sake, not for his.
"Forgiveness does not mean he must not pay for what he has done.
"Oscar did not only take Reeva's life when he killed Reeva in cold blood, he also took Barry and my life. Our joy, our future grandchildren.
"He also took our privacy away.
"We have been criticised and insulted by some members of the public, who had victimised Barry and I, as if we had been the ones who did something wrong.
"(It was like) as if we had been the ones to pull the trigger four times through a closed door and killed an innocent person."
She has, however, lost hope of Pistorius ever 'disclosing the truth'.
"I have lost any hope that Oscar Pistorius will ever disclose the truth of what happened that night," she stated.
June also believes Reeva's former neighbours, who said they heard screaming as Pistorius opened fire.

"There was a row," she added.
"Neighbours heard screaming – a woman's scream - Reeva's scream. I believe the neighbours.
"I believe that Reeva wanted to leave him that night and ran to the toilet in fear to hide from him.
"The evidence in court leaves me with no doubt that he knew it was Reeva behind the toilet door when he fired four black talon bullets through the door.
"Those bullets explode when it hits human flesh.

"He knows guns, and he knew what those bullets would do to my beautiful daughter.
"He knew it would kill her."
June also thinks Reeva would have been a successful attorney had she not been tragically killed.
"Reeva loved life," she said. "She was an empath and wanted to help everybody.
"I believe she would have been a successful attorney as she got so many distinctions when she studied for her law degree."
