Other players are 'jealous' of Luke Littler, according to darts icon Dennis Priestley.
And the teenager has been told to watch what he spends his money on after suggesting over the weekend that he could retire in the next 10 years.
Few had heard of Littler a few months ago but, after shining at the World Darts Championship, he's now become a household name.
Michael van Gerwen recently took aim at the amount of attention the youngster receives, calling for an end to 'stupid questions' in the process.

And Priestley, speaking to OLBG, believes the teenager has made his rivals 'jealous' as a result of his success so far.
"Yes, players will be jealous of Luke Littler. Obviously it's going to be getting to them that a young guy has come on the scene and taken all the limelight away," he said.
"I know the 'Luke Littler mania' spurred Michael Van Gerwen on because he's started to knuckle down and showing his potential again.
"Littler is definitely upsetting a lot of the top boys."
Over the weekend, Littler said he could quit darts within the next 10 to 15 years.
And Priestley thinks the 17-year-old should watch what he spends his money on if that's the case, insisting he'll need to be careful about what he invests in.
"If Luke Littler really wants to retire from darts in 10-15 years, then looking after his money is exactly what he needs to be doing," he stated.
"It all depends on the people around him and how they'll invest his huge winnings.
"I hope the PDC are helping Luke and giving him the right advice too."
Priestley does think, however, that Littler may just be playing 'mind games'.
"Luke Littler is getting some good advice," he said.
"If he's trying to play mind games with the media then he really is mature beyond his years.
"It's not something a normal 17-year-old would come up with is it?
"I expect Luke Littler to play Darts until his early forties.
"It all depends on how much money he makes and how motivated he is.

"If he starts winning World Championship's and breaking records then that'll be another motivation for him.
"I can definitely see him playing for 15 or 20 years.
"We don't know what's between his ears. He's got a lot more between them than I did when I was 17, I can tell you that."
Littler, over the weekend, suggested early retirement by saying: “I’ve been playing a long time in the juniors, in the old British Darts Federation.
“I might just do 10 or 15 years and retire, if I’ve had enough.”
