Adam Peaty's Paris Olympics may be over after he tested positive for Covid-19 following his silver medal in the men's 100m breaststroke final.
The British swimmer agonisingly missed out on gold on Sunday night, but was set to have another chance in the relay events.
However, his participation in Team GB's relay team is now under threat after he tested positive for Covid-19.
"Adam Peaty began feeling unwell on Sunday, ahead of his men's 100m breaststroke final." Team GB's statement read.

"In the hours after the final, his symptoms became worse and he was tested for COVID early on Monday morning. He tested positive at that point.
"He is hopeful to be back in competition for the relay events later in the swimming programme.
"As in any case of illness, the situation is being managed appropriately, with all usual precautions being taken to keep the wider delegation healthy."
The first heats for the men's 4x100m medley relay don't get underway until Friday morning, but Peaty could be rested until the final if Team GB get through.
The men's 4x100m medley relay final takes place on Sunday evening while he is also expected to compete in the mixed medley.
Peaty's run as the Olympic champion in the men's 100m breaststroke came to a heartbreaking end on Sunday evening.
Italy's Nicolo Martinenghi pipped Peaty to the line by just two-hundredths-of-a-second in a dramatic ending.
Peaty finished in the exact same time as American Nic Funk with both swimmers being given a silver medal.

The 29-year-old British swimming superstar was emotional after the race while speaking to the BBC.
"I'm not crying because I've come second. I'm crying because it just took so much to get here," he said.
"It's just incredibly hard to win it once and to win it again and to win it again and trying to find new ways to do it.

"Everything I've done up to this point I feel has happened for a reason and I'm so happy that I can race against the best in the world and still come joint-second.
"In my heart I have won, these are happy tears.
"I gave my absolute best every single day and I can't be upset about that.
"I'm almost an older man here now. I can't have that relentless pursuit every single day without a sacrifice of some sort - they come in every single form. It's very hard to compete with the younger ones, so I'm very happy with that because I know in my heart I could have done more."
