The 30-year-old has won five medals at the Olympics over the years

Tom Daley is enjoying life at the Olympic Village so far - but has complained about the food hall being too busy, calling on organisers to 'figure something out'.

The diving star went into this year's games with four medals to his name and quickly made it five, with the 30-year-old picking up a silver in the men's synchronised 10m platform in Paris.

Daley is an Olympics veteran, having competed for Team GB on the biggest stage of them all ever since 2008.

Speaking to GQ Magazine, the diving star dubbed the village 'great'. However, he does think the food hall needs sorting out so athletes can eat a little easier.

"The village itself is actually quite great," he said.

"The only thing is the food hall gets busy, but hopefully they’ll figure that out because as the games go on it's just going to get busier and busier."

Daley is surrounded by big names at the games.

And he was stunned to see Rafael Nadal, running late for a bus, then 'run into the middle of the bus driveway' to make sure he was on time.

“You know the crazy thing about the Olympic village is you bump into people all the time," he said.

"Like the other day we were talking towards the bus… [Rafael] Nadal was really late for the bus and he just ran right into the middle of the bus driveway.

“You know, he needed to make that bus, I don’t know if he had a match or what.”

Another tennis icon currently in Paris is Andy Murray.

The 37-year-old has won all three of his doubles clashes while playing alongside Dan Evans, with the pair prolonging Murray's career in the process.

Daley says he's dumped into the three-time Grand Slam winner in the physio room in France.

He continued: "Andy Murray is quite often in the physio room, if you’d believe it.

"As some of the elders of the team, me and him spend a lot of time in the physio room.

"But yeah, you bump into people all the time from all different sports, all different countries, and everyone’s there for a common goal."

While Daley is known for his diving exploits, he's also become famous for knitting.

The 30-year-old can often be snapped knitting in the stands while watching other athletes compete.

When asked what he's working on, Daley says he's aiming to make a jumper similar to the one he made at the last Olympics in Tokyo three years ago.

"I’m making a few things – a jumper similar to the one I made in Tokyo but this time a Paris-themed one, and not a cardigan this time," he revealed.

"I’m also making a bag that is French-themed and a new upgraded version of the metal pouch that I made in Tokyo."
