Bill Belichick could be set for a shock move after his departure from the New England Patriots, according to Aaron McMann.
The sports reporter told GB News the legendary coach has “several options” with vacancies all across the NFL.
Despite McMann saying a move is in the offing for Belichick, he believes “failures” accrued while coaching the Patriots could work against him.
“The last couple of years, the Patriots have had two straight losing seasons”, he said.
“They’ve gone five straight years without a playoff win. I think the time has moved past Belichick, he’s 71-years-old now.
“He had a great run in New England, six Super Bowl wins, but one could make the argument that once Tom Brady left the team back in 2019 that the wheels kind of fell off the wagon.”

While McMann believes Belichick is “certainly” not going to make a return to New England, he believes another franchise could work for him.
“He interviewed with the Atlanta Falcons on Monday after they fired their head coach, Arthur Smith, earlier this month”, he said.
“Their owner mentioned Belichick as a legitimate candidate for the job. Certainly Atlanta is a place to look.
“Carolina Panthers is another, they fired their head coach after week 11, but their owners are a little questionable.
“Belichick could be a name they look to, they haven’t interviewed him just yet, but I think they’re going to take a look.”
The coach enjoyed a remarkable 24 seasons in New England and will forever be remembered as a legend in the state after triumphing six times in the Super Bowl.
During a news conference earlier this month, Patriots owner Robert Kraft paid tribute to the coach he regards as the best of all time.
“This is a move that we mutually agreed that is needed at this time”, Kraft said.
“What Bill accomplished, in my opinion, will never be duplicated.”
Belichick said he will “always be a Patriot” before thanking Kraft and his family for the opportunity and support.
