The Red Devils are in Champions League action tonight

Manchester United will begin their Champions League campaign against Bayern Munich on Wednesday evening.

The Red Devils go into the game with a point to prove after recent defeats to Brighton and Arsenal in the Premier League.

Erik ten Hag has denied United are a club in crisis these days.

But that couldn't be further from the truth with the doom and gloom mood around Old Trafford seemingly increasing with each passing week.

Football Insider claim Ten Hag is actually starting to lose the support of the United dressing room, something that doesn't bode well.

It's said the club's dressing room is 'far from a happy place' and there's a feeling the Dutchman is part of the problem.

United players have, according to observers, been 'freestyling' in recent matches.

That's despite Ten Hag's best attempts to implement his ideas and philosophy on the rest of the squad.

There's apparently a dressing room divide at United, with tempers 'fraying' behind the scenes as a result.

The report also says there's concern inside and outside of the club by the influence of Ten Hag's agent, Kees Vos, over transfers.

Vos was said to be a key player as United signed Rasmus Hojlund and Sofyan Amrabat this summer.

Ten Hag's son, Nigel, works for Vos' Sports Entertainment Group as an analyst.

One man who knows all about the pressure of managing United is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

And the Norwegian has given a bombshell interview to The Athletic, criticising some of his old players.

"When you have a group you need everyone to pull in the same direction," he told the publication.

"When things didn't go right, you could see certain players and egos came out."

He added: "Some players felt they should've played more and weren't constructive to the environment.

"That's a huge win for me. When I didn't start games, I wanted to prove to the manager he'd made the wrong decision.

"Now, a lot of players aren't like that. Agents and family members get into their heads and tell them they're better than they are because they have a vested interest.

"It's a disease of modern football."

There's also a minor takeover update ahead of the match with Bayern Munich, too.

United staff members are fearing for their jobs at present as Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe look to buy the club.

And Richard Arnold, per The Athletic, has told them to sit tight and wait.

Arnold's own position is unclear with the Glazers open to selling United for the right price.
