Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has given his verdict after his side's 2-2 draw with Brighton on Sunday.
The Reds had been hoping to return to winning ways in the Premier League after a controversial defeat to Tottenham eight days ago.
But despite a brace from Mohamed Salah, Liverpool were forced to settle for a point.
The Egypt international scored twice after an opener from Simon Adingra, with the Merseyside giants then facing an onslaught.

While Liverpool scored a penalty after a foul by Pascal Gross, some feel the Brighton star should have been sent off.
The midfielder fouled Dominik Szoboszlai who, otherwise, would have had a clear shot on goal.
Yet Klopp didn't seem in the mood to discuss the subject after the game after VAR controversy against Tottenham last week and joked 'don't talk to me about the rules'.
"I don't know, I really have no idea," he said when quizzed by Sky Sports.
"If there's a foul in the Brighton penalty box then it's a yellow card I think and not a red card.
"If it had been outside, probably a red...
"But I don't know. Don't talk to me about the rules.
"I take what I get and well..."
Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk also spoke after the match at the Amex, with the Netherlands international refusing to criticise Gross.
"Not really," he said when asked if the German should have received his marching orders.
"On the pitch you are thinking about this and you have to be careful for asking if was going to get sent off.
"I was curious for the reason why he didn't get a booking.
"I didn't see any replays on the pitch.
"We win the penalty, we score the penalty and the ref didn't give a yellow or a red. We have to accept it."
Van Dijk also admitted Liverpool were disappointed by failing to win the match, having led 2-1 until the closing stages.
"We came here to win. I think we had opportunities to do so and in the end a draw, after a difficult game," he said.
"Quite open at times. Quite even but looking at our team, we had opportunities to win."
And, when quizzed on Brighton's late equaliser, he said it was down to 'miscommunication'.
"Miscommunication. He heard a shout and it wasn't," he said of Andy Robertson's error.
"It was a miscommunication and we don't want to make mistakes.
