Manchester United part-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe faced angry supporters following the club's 1-0 victory at Fulham on Sunday over his decision to raise ticket prices to £66.

The 72-year-old INEOS chairman, who owns 28.94 per cent of the Premier League club, was confronted by fans in west London after implementing controversial cost-cutting measures in recent months.

The removal of concessions and introduction of blanket £66 pricing for home games has proven particularly contentious among supporters.

Fans at Craven Cottage expressed their displeasure throughout the match, comparing Ratcliffe to the club's unpopular majority owners, the Glazer family.

A video posted on social media showed Ratcliffe in the back of a stationary car as supporters confronted him over the pricing decision.

When fans approached his vehicle, Ratcliffe initially wound down his window, saying "Get your photograph, guys" and offering a thumbs up.

As supporters continued their protests about ticket prices, one fan called out: "We're locals. Come on, sort it out."

Ratcliffe appeared to respond "Oh, come on" before raising his window again.

The car remained stationary as fans continued their protests, with one supporter later posting the video with the caption "'Get your photograph' f**k off you" accompanied by rat emojis.

Supporters directed specific chants at Ratcliffe throughout the match, including "Just like the Glazers, Jim Ratcliffe's a c***" and "£66, taking the p*** again" from the away end.

The protests continued after full-time, with fans telling Ratcliffe: "66 f**king quid, you're taking the p**s."

One supporter was heard shouting: "You're worse than the Glazers."

Fans also made direct comparisons to the host club's prices, with one telling Ratcliffe: "We pay triple their fans, our prices should be a third of Fulham's."

The same chants comparing Ratcliffe to the Glazers were repeated as his vehicle eventually departed.

Addressing the ticket price controversy, Ratcliffe had previously defended his position in comments to fanzine United We Stand.

"I don't think it makes sense for a Manchester United ticket to cost less than a ticket to see Fulham," the INEOS chairman told the publication.

He acknowledged the need to maintain accessibility for local supporters, stating: "I don't want to end up in a position where the genuine local fans can't afford to come, but I do want to optimise the ticketing."

Ratcliffe concluded by emphasising the challenge of finding the right balance, adding: "We need to find a balance. And you can't be popular all the time either."

United beat Fulham 1-0, with Lisandro Martinez scoring the only goal of the game. They now sit 12th in the Premier League table.
