Manchester City returned to the top of the Premier League after victory at Southampton, though they were not at their best.
Erling Haaland scored the only goal of the match in a 1-0 victory for the champions after netting early in the contest.
It had looked like the floodgates would open on Russell Martin's side, who are second-from-bottom in the table.
But the Saints held the fort admirably against City's multi-million stars, who had to work hard for the three points.

It was yet another indicator that City can win dirty if they need to, following their last-gasp victory over Wolves last week where John Stones scored the winner with the last kick (or header in this case) of the game.
And it was a reminder to the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool that they better bring their A-game - because City are just not dropping points at the moment.
Meanwhile, a Premier League classic played out at the GTech Community Stadium where Brentford emerged victorious in a seven-goal thriller against Ipswich Town.
The visitors had raced into a two-goal lead when Sammie Szmodics and George Hirst netted twice in three minutes.
But the Bees stung back before half-time with a quickfire double of their own when Yoane Wissa struck and then an own goal from Harry Clarke.
The carnage did not stop there with the second-half as wild as the first with Bryan Mbeumo putting Brentford ahead from the penalty spot moments after the break.

Clarke's afternoon went from bad to worse when he was sent off following a second yellow but it seemed to rally Ipswich, with Liam Delap coming off the bench to equalise late into the contest with five minutes left.
That might have been enough but the Tractor Boys were left heartbroken when Mbeumo set the roof on fire with a 96th-minute winner.
And that was not the only Premier League ground to see late drama.

Brighton must have thought they had all three points at the Amex Stadium when Evan Ferguson made it 2-0 on 85 minutes against Wolves.
But the visitors, who are bottom of the Premier League, showed incredible fight to earn a point when shock late goals from Rayan Ait-Nouri and Matheus Cunha saw them draw level.

And Aston Villa also had to settle for a point against Bournemouth with another stunning last-minute goal when Ross Barkley had put the home side ahead at Villa Park on 76 minutes.
As Villa fans piled out of the ground confident of the three points as Cherries striker Evanilson struck in the 96th minute to conclude an astonishing day in the Premier League.
