Newcastle have dealt Tottenham another crushing blow almost a year to the day since they beat them 6-1 at St James' Park.
Eddie Howe's team pushed their European credentials on Saturday with a 4-0 win over Ange Postecoglou's side, with Micky van de Ven having an afternoon to forget.
Newcastle smashed five in the first 20 minutes when Spurs visited last season in one of the most memorable Premier League batterings.
Fans were made to wait half an hour for the first goal this year but two came around in the space of 90 seconds through Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon.

Isak maintained his composure following a slip from Van de Ven, before Gordon wrong-footed the Dutchman and fired home.
It was 3-0 six minutes after half-time when Isak scored his second, with Spurs caught up the pitch and the Swede running through to score.
Postecoglou rang the changes, including taking off captain Son Heung-min after an ineffective performance.
But it was Newcastle who added to their lead with three minutes remaining through Fabian Schar to move his team above Manchester United and put a dent in Spurs' Champions League hopes.
GB News looks at what he learned from the match on Tyneside.
Van de Ven embarrassed
Van de Ven has been arguably one of the signings of the season in the Premier League.
His £43million price tag has looked cheap in most of the games he has played in a Spurs shirt so far.
He is rapid for a centre-back and was recorded as the fastest player in the top flight earlier this year.
But the 22-year-old will want to forget about today's game quickly after being involved in all of Newcastle's first three goals.
His slip allowed Isak a free shot at goal for the opener, which the striker took with aplomb.
Gordon put the defender on his bum again less than two minutes later in what was an embarrassing moment.
He then tried to play Isak offside for the third goal but the striker was still in his own half and he was unable to catch him.
It was undoubtedly Van de Ven's worst day since arriving in England and will hope it was just a one-off.

Newcastle vs Tottenham: Eddie Howe deserves praise for turning things around

Newcastle were ravaged by injuries in the first half of the season and the addition of Champions League football affected their domestic form.
They crashed out of Europe altogether, while also failing to go deep in either cup competition.
But Howe has turned it around admirably in the last few months and deserves every bit of praise that will come his way.
Newcastle are now well-placed to be back in Europe in some capacity next term, although the Champions League will be a step too far.

Tottenham have come a long way since Cristian Stellini led them to that 6-1 hammering 356 days ago.
But some of those wounds were reopened by Newcastle today.
There were only three remaining starters from that game in the Spurs XI to showcase the impact Postecoglou has had.
But the visiting fans will surely have had some flashbacks to that encounter.
