The England international is facing scrutiny after recently going clubbing in Northern Ireland

Manchester United don't want to sell Marcus Rashford despite his disciplinary issues and poor form this season, reports claim.

However, Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain are eyeing the forward and could make a bid for the 26-year-old at the end of the season.

Rashford has been punished by United after twice going out clubbing in Northern Ireland.

Upon returning, he reported ill for training and was consequently left out of the Red Devils' squad for their 4-2 victory over Newport County on Sunday.

United only tied Rashford down to a new contract back in the summer, with the forward becoming one of the best-paid players at Old Trafford in the process.

He has, however, netted just four goals this season amid a testing campaign under manager Erik ten Hag.

According to the i, United don't want to sell Rashford at the current moment in time - despite his dwindling form and issues off the field.

However, PSG are eyeing a potential deal for the 26-year-old at the end of the season.

The Ligue 1 giants have had a longstanding interest in Rashford, who was once considered the brightest talent in the country.

They're expected to lose Kylian Mbappe this summer amid claims Real Madrid are confident of acquiring the player.

And if Mbappe does jump ship, as expected, then it's possible they'll go for Rashford.

United could be tempted to cash in on their No 10 should they receive a suitable offer, with Ten Hag eager to bring standards up to scratch.

It is currently unclear when Rashford will return to action, with speculation suggesting he could be in contention to face Wolves on Thursday night.

The publication says the United star held crunch talks at Carrington on Monday after arriving for training.

Sir Dave Brailsford was present and made it clear INEOS, who recently purchased a 25 per cent stake in the club, want only the best from players in their squad.

Rashford has also been linked with Barcelona in the past.

But talk of the Catalan giants swooping for the United star has, for the time being at least, quietened down.

Meanwhile, talkSPORT pundit Ally McCoist has condemned Rashford and is stunned by the forward's lack of awareness.

He said: I don't know what he's thinking. Manchester United - one of the biggest clubs in the world. The focus is on you all the time - on and off the pitch.

"I know he's trying to get away. But does he not realise there's nothing these guys can do these days - with mobiles phones around?

"If you're a United player right now, you need to keep your head down and get your job done. I'm staggered.

"It seems like it could be the straw that breaks the camel's back. That's what it looks like to me.

"I haven't yet seen a message of support from a Man United fan. Everyone says, enough is enough.

"I think it's probably time for him to go to pastures new and get himself going again. It's not working."

Rashford has scored 127 goals for United since making his debut back in 2016.

That's more than club icons such as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Andy Cole and Bryan Robson.

Rashford has also won four trophies at United as well and scored as they beat Newcastle in the final of the Carabao Cup last year.
