Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag fumed at the officials in the wake of a 2-1 defeat to West Ham on Sunday.
A late penalty from Jarrod Bowen meant all three points stayed at the London Stadium - though the decision came in controversial circumstances.
A loose ball in the United box saw Matthijs de Ligt and Danny Ings involved in a coming-together with the Dutchman's legs tangling with his opponent.
Referee David Coote was advised by VAR Michael Oliver to take another look at the incident on the pitchside monitor.

After taking closer inspection, Coote gave the penalty despite the ball also appearing to strike Ings on the arm.
De Ligt and his team-mates made such a case to the officials and were still arguing after Bowen scored and at full-time.
Ten Hag was also furious on the touchline and spoke out on the incident in his post-match press conference.
"Three times this season we feel injustice," the Dutchman said.£ We have to score, we created so many chances.
"We should've been two or three up. Second half we were forcing it but we allowed them into the game.
"When you are losing 1-0 you need big personality and character of the team and showed resilience to get back into it. Unfair and unjust the way we conceded the penalty.
"[The penalty] was so difficult to see. Before the season there was the instruction about VAR only interfering in clear and obvious mistakes.

"That is definitely not a clear and obvious mistake from the on field referee.
"More frustrations but I can do nothing with that. They don't collect points and that's what we have to do.
"We have to look in the mirror, we don't score in a good game from our side. Create loads of chances and concede none but when you lose in this way it's a bad feeling."
