Jurgen Klopp's reign at Liverpool has come to an end with a 2-0 win over Wolves.

Jurgen Klopp was the picture of emotion as the curtain came down on his final game in charge of Liverpool with a 2-0 win over Wolves at Anfield while his wife couldn't contain her tears in the stands.

Anfield was bouncing before kick-off as Liverpool fans crowded the streets around the stadium to show their appreciation for the German coach.

Huge banners were unveiled at the start of the game to honour Klopp, who was beaming from ear-to-ear on the touchline.

Klopp even apologised to his players before the match as he was fully aware that all the focus would be on him.

He still would have wanted to go out on a high and goals from Alexis Mac Allister and Jarrell Quansah securing all three points.

But the result was always going to come secondary to Klopp's farewell with the Liverpool boss' name ringing around Anfield throughout the match.

Cameras continually cut to Klopp on the sidelines at every moment and his wife, Ulla, in the stands.

As the final whistle was blown, Ulla was seen wiping away tears from her face before Klopp began doing the rounds on the touchline.

There wasn't a single player or staff member Klopp ignored as he hugged every person before running down the tunnel.

Virgil van Dijk also held back tears during his interview on the pitch after the game.

"I've got no words. It's a very emotional day," he said.

"It was always going to be a tough afternoon for everyone. We wanted to do our job, then we could be very emotional - and we will be.
