Jermaine Jenas appeared live on talkSPORT just moments after it was announced that he had been axed by the BBC for 'inappropriate behaviour'.
It emerged earlier on Thursday that the 41-year-old had been taken off on-air duties from Match of the Day and the One Show, alongside Alex Jones following an internal investigation.
The former One Show host had been scheduled to appear on talkSPORT's popular afternoon show Drive alongside Jermaine Pennant.
But rather than address the elephant in the room, Jenas completely ignored the news surrounding his dismissal.

Instead, Jenas and Pennant discussed transfer stories and built their perfect Premier League midfielder, with former team-mate Aaron Lennon also appearing as a guest.
That even included Jenas reading out the headlines for the day, ignoring the biggest item being his own dismissal.

Fans were left baffled by the fact that the issue had been glossed over with one saying: "Jermaine Jenas sacked by BBC but hosting Talksport Drive with Jermaine Pennant this afternoon. Classic!"
Another wrote: "Someone please ring into Talksport to ask Jermaine Jenas why he's been sacked."
A third posted: "Thought it was a joke, but Jenas is LITERALLY ON AIR with Talksport as this is unfolding."

And this fan said: "Just got in the car and jenas is live on talksport as if nothing’s happened."
While some fans speculated that Jenas was unaware of his employment status with the BBC, GB News can report that the former midfielder has been left furious by the decision and has consulted his lawyers.
A source told the Mail: "It all came as a massive shock but his colleagues have now been told the news and he won't be back.

The 41-year-old had previously been tipped to succeed Gary Lineker as host of Match of the Day.
He said in October 2021: “Match Of The Day is the biggest job on television, and if I ever got the opportunity of course I’d say yes.
"When Gary decides to call it a day, I’m sure the BBC will have a look around and decide who’s the best fit for the job.”
