BBC viewers were left shocked after seeing Gary Lineker in a completely different role with many left wondering if they had the wrong programme on.
When the Last Night of the Proms got underway on Saturday night, the usual coverage headlined by Katie Derham had been relpaced by Lineker, who was joined by former Premier League stars Danny Murphy and Joe Hart in the studio.
Lineker introduced the duo as 'two men who always hit the right note' before a performance of Verdi's Requiem was analysed much like a football match would be on Match of the Day.
Hart said: "A pitch perfect delivery, they played at the perfect tempo.

The hosting job did not last long, though, as cameras cut to Derham as normal service was restored.
