England are through to the final four at Euro 2024 after beating Switzerland in their quarter-final clash.

GB News takes a look at how Gareth Southgate's side rated in the match.

Jordan Pickford - 6

Stepped up when England needed him in extra time with some solid saves.

Ezri Konsa - 5

Was by far the busier defender for England and kept Embolo at bay for most of the match, but could have done more to stop Switzerland's cross for their goal.

John Stones - 6

Was having a solid game at the back but let the cross slip under his foot to Embolo behind him.

Kyle Walker - 4

Let Embolo get the wrong side of him for the goal when he should have been stronger.

Kieran Trippier - 5

Having to cut back on his right foot stopped several England attacks down the left flank. Meant England were a bit hamstrung at times going forward.

Bukayo Saka - 8

England's biggest threat by far and he stepped up with a sensational strike to equalise for England.

Kobbie Mainoo - 8

Undroppable in England's midfield now. Just 19 years of age. Insane.

Declan Rice - 6

Does plenty of the dirty work to enable Mainoo more freedom in the centre of midfield.

Jude Bellingham - 5

England's hero from last week struggled to get on the ball and affect the match.

Phil Foden - 5

It was thought that England's new system was going to help Foden, but he was ineffective throughout.

Harry Kane - 5

Dropping too deep at times again and stepping on the toes of Bellingham and Foden. Too often wasn't inside the box for a cross from out wide.

Subs

Cole Palmer - 7

Southgate leaving it too late to introduce the Chelsea man once again. England far more exciting with him in the side and set the tone in the penalty shoot-out.

Luke Shaw - 6

His first appearance of the tournament and England looked far more balanced with him in the side.

LATEST SPORT NEWS:

Eberechi Eze - 6

Has struggled to make the step up on the international stage to truly have an impact off the bench.

Ivan Toney - 6

Brought on out of necessity with Harry Kane going off with an injury and did what was needed of him.

Trent Alexander-Arnold - 7

Brought on for penalties and showed nerves of steel to score the winning spot-kick.
