Arsenal bounced back from the weekend's shock defeat to Bournemouth with a strong result against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League and may have found the next Santi Cazorla in the process.
Mikel Arteta urged his side to 'take the pain and use it' against Shakhtar after the disappointing loss to Bournemouth.
The Arsenal manager made two changes from the team that lost to the Cherries with both Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus coming in for Mikel Merino and Raheem Sterling.
And it was Martinelli who helped the Gunners get in front as he cut inside on his right foot with his effort bouncing in off the goalkeeper.
Jesus also had a great chance to double Arsenal's lead before the break, but he squandered his effort.
However, it was Trossard who got Arsenal fans talking in the first half when he took a corner with his weaker foot in the first half.
The Belgium international stepped up to take a corner in the sixth minute and caught many by surprise as he lined up to take it with his left foot.
And he delivered a wicked cross into the middle of the box with the ball dropping to Riccardo Calafiori who snatched at his chance and fired over the bar.
Trossard's left-footed corner soon went viral on social media with Arsenal fans likening it to Gunners hero Cazorla.
One message read: "Trossard pulling a Santi Cazorla and using his weaker foot on a corner."
Another posted: "Trossard decides to take corners with his left foot. Cazorla legacy lives on."
A third wrote: "Trossard taking corners with his weaker left foot - a throwback to Cazorla! I got time for that!"
