Tottenham have dropped down to 10th in the table following their sixth defeat of the season.

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou hsa revealed what happened during a tense exchange with frustrated supporters following his side's 1-0 defeat at Bournemouth on Thursday night.

The Spurs head coach approached the away end after the final whistle, where he appeared to engage in an angry confrontation with fans in the front rows.

The incident came after another disappointing result for Tottenham, who have struggled to maintain consistency in recent weeks.

"They're disappointed and rightly so and they gave me some direct feedback, which is taken on board," Postecoglou said.

When pressed about the specific feedback from supporters, Postecoglou declined to elaborate, stating: "Probably not for here."

The Spurs boss showed a candid response to the criticism, admitting: "I didn't like what was being said because I'm a human being but you've got to cop it.

"I've been around long enough to know when things don't go well you've got to understand the frustration and disappointment."

Postecoglou remained determined despite the criticism, stating: "All I can say is I'm really disappointed and I'm determined to get it right and will keep fighting until we do."

Dean Huijsen, 19, headed the game's only goal after 17 minutes, capitalising on Destiny Udogie's error during a corner at the back post.

The hosts dominated proceedings thereafter, with Tottenham goalkeeper Fraser Forster forced into multiple saves.

Bournemouth created several clear opportunities and were the superior side throughout much of the match.

"We again fell into the trap of starting the game really well, we were in control and then we conceded a really poor goal," Postecoglou reflected.

"Then we kind of lost our way a little bit and allowed Bournemouth to play the game that they wanted to," he added.

Looking ahead, Postecoglou emphasised the urgency for his team to regain control of their season.

"We have to get ourselves out of the space we are in at the minute where we can't get a real grip on the season," the Spurs manager said.
