Lewis Hamilton will leave Mercedes at the end of the season to join Ferrari.
Lewis Hamilton has poked fun at Mercedes' struggles in building a car capable of challenging at the front of the grid during an interview on Hot Ones.
Hamilton was asked an array of questions by host Sean Evans while the pair of them ate wings as the hot sauce gradually increased in Scoville level.
The Mercedes driver was eating the vegan option and appeared comfortable with the spice level to begin with.
But the 39-year-old had to repeatedly wipe his eyes and recompose himself as the wings got hotter and hotter.

He even had a joke at Mercedes' expense with the team struggling once again to battle at the front of the grid.
When asked when he felt most in conflict with the car, Hamilton replied with a laugh: "Right now."
Evans then asked: "At what point in the race do you feel you’re trying to make the car do something it doesn’t want to do?"
Hamilton took another shot at Mercedes as he added: "At the moment it is every second.
"But probably at the beginning of the race.
"When you're on heavy fuel, you can't go 100 per cent. You can't do like qualifying laps every lap so you have to pull back and try to hit the corners a little bit slower to go longer basically."
Hamilton also revealed that many of his peers in F1 go to the toilet during races, but he does everything he can to avoid needing to do so.
"We do have a drink tube in the car, but I never drink in the car," he said.
"I just forget most of the time so I usually have that weight taken out.
"It's only like 500ml, but other drivers - quite a lot of drivers as far as I'm aware - pee in the car but I just can't.

"I've drunk a lot before so just before we get in the car I go as many times as possible right at the last minute.
"But I just can't bring myself to pee myself."
However, the seven-time world champion revealed he couldn't hold it in during one particular race.

"I have once," Hamilton said when asked whether he had ever wet himself in the car.
"It was Singapore and it was two or three years ago and basically the Safety Car came out.
"I was like, 'I'm dying' and when your bladder's full with the G-force that you're pulling it's really, really uncomfortable and you just can't focus on your job.
"So I remember trying to go and I really had to force it like it's really hard but luckily I haven't had to do it - only once."
