Lewis Hamilton is already embedding himself into the culture with Ferrari.

Lewis Hamilton has impressed Ferrari by delivering his first speech in Italian, reading from his phone in a pre-prepared message to thank fans.

The seven-time world champion demonstrated his commitment to adapting to life at the Maranello-based team with his well-delivered address.

Translated to English, it read: “Hello everyone. Thank you for your warm welcome.

"I am happy to start this new adventure with you at Ferrari.

"It has always been my dream to be part of this team. I cant wait to work with you. Thank you.”

The British driver had already shown his dedication to learning the language, having used basic Italian whilst signing merchandise for supporters outside the Ferrari factory earlier this year.

Hamilton had previously expressed his intentions to learn Italian last year and is now putting those plans into action at his new team.

The Tifosi have warmly embraced Hamilton's arrival, with thousands of Ferrari supporters gathering at the team's Fiorano test track weeks ago to witness his first appearance in Ferrari colours.

Charles Leclerc, Hamilton's new teammate and a fluent Italian speaker, was present during the speech and appeared impressed by the Briton's linguistic efforts.

The eight-time Grand Prix winner's positive reaction reflects the growing harmony within the team as Hamilton settles into his new role.

The British driver's commitment to learning Ferrari's native language has clearly resonated with both the team and its passionate fanbase.

Hamilton's Ferrari debut will come at the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne on March 16.

The British driver has already tasted success at the Albert Park street circuit, having secured two previous victories at the venue with his last coming back in 2015.

A third Melbourne triumph would mark a perfect start to Hamilton's Ferrari career as he begins this new chapter.
